That was the first boring episode of the season though the family dinner with the Tarly's was hilarious. It still set things up a bit, especially with Jaime's future as well as Aria. I suppose the one surprise of the episode was with Aria, it will be interesting to see how that plays out now.

Yep - a slow paced episode when compared to the others... I was a tad disappointed at first, but just watched it again and it still's damn good.

So, Episode 7 is entitled "Broken Man" and there are rumours of a return of the Hound who we never saw actually die. Here's one thought - Cersei is being judged via a Trial by Combat where the Mountain will be her warrior... my guess is he will somehow end up facing the Hound (his brother) in that face-off. Ian McShane (Deadwood) joins the cast for a couple of episodes too - I reckon he'll be somehow tied in with the Hound returning storyline.

^ I'm thinking that too. Of all the implied deaths on GOT I think the Hound was the least likely to have actually died.

Funny you say that about liking it a lot more after watching it again. I had the same reaction as I ended up seeing it a 2nd time within 6 hours. I feel like the Aria storyline just suddenly got a lot more exciting and it will be interesting to see how everything plays out at King's Landing and the Riverrun. I also am thrilled that we will be seeing Bronn (he's in the preview of next week walking with Jaime).

WARNING: SPOILER to episode 7 so don't read down if you haven't seen it.

Ask and ye shall receive!! That was a great episode even if nothing huge happened aside from the "revival" of an old favorite. Now it seems possible that there will be a reunion between Arya and the Hound. The action at Riverrun looks like it will be pretty good and I wonder if we are gearing up for the huge battle at Winterfell by the end of this season or start of next. Only 3 episodes left which is sad but there should be a lot of fireworks!!

3 Episodes left... and a lot to fit in...

I think the following must come to a head before the season is done.

Battle at Riverrun...
Battle of Winterfell...
Cersei & Co v Faith Militant

Maybe...
The Hound v The Mountain (?) We saw the Hound back and I think think the fella played by Ian McShane got through to him. He might end up being the warrior facing the Mountain in Cersei's trial by combat (if it happens)

The way the Winterfell action is going makes me think it might carry over to next season and I'm actually OK with that because there is so many other intriguing things going on. One thing I'd add to the above is the fate of Aria. Not that I think she will be killed off (though nothing is a given in this show) but what is going to happen now. Is she going to kill the assassin who is after her and if she does then where is she heading and what will her purpose be?

The Hound vs. the Mountain would be one hell of a way to settle things.

I'll be super pissed off if Arya dies. She's my favourite character!

Yeah I don't think we have to worry that she's dead, at least not yet. It was not even implied like it was for The Hound and many others.

I know no characters are safe but I'd be really, really shocked if she doesn't make it out of Braavos alive. I actually wonder if Jaqen H'ghar doesn't intervene as crazy as it sounds. And the reason I think it is that the Waif kind of disobeyed him. He clearly said "don't let her suffer" when giving permission to kill Arya. And the Waif stabbed her a bunch of times in the gut instead of making it quick. In Arya's current state I don't think she's going to magically kill the Waif but someone has to intervene.

Another very good episode. I was a little wrong about Arya but mostly had it right. I thought the scene at the end was excellent and necessary. Arya went to Braavos and in the end she ended up finding herself again. Jaqen H'ghar kind of recognized her decision and applauded it in his own way. And next week it looks like we are set up for an epic confrontation.

Well you were right on most of it and I had to watch it twice to figure out the final scene with the Waif... Arya put the candle out because she had learned how to fight when she was blind... smart one Arya.... and very smart writing by the GoT team.

A few shocks... don't know what Edmure Tully was thinking... I guess it was done to protect the child he'd never seen. I'm assuming the Blackfish is really dead.... but who knows with GoT? Maybe Edmure's soldiers realised they had made a titanic mistake in obeying orders and let the Blackfish do a runner... Unless we see them dead then we're never sure... i.e. The Hound. We didn't see Blackfish die... so maybe he's still breathing.

Next week looks to be a huge episode "Battle of the Bastards"... got a feeling Baelish and the knights of the Vale may appear to rescue a losing situation for Jon Snow and Sansa... I also heard a plot rumour that Ramsey releases Rickon but then shoots him with an arrow before he makes it to Jon. All men must die and all that.

Sets it up for a mammoth two final episodes... next weeks is over an hour and the final episode will be 69 minutes... a bit longer than usual.

Edmure is kind of considered cowardly from what I remember in the earlier seasons, or at least he isn't a fighter per se.

I think you're right about Baelish. We don't know for sure who Sansa was sending a message to last episode but I figured it was Littlefinger. Not sure who else it would be. I also doubt Rickon makes it out of this situation alive, that wouldn't be Ramsay-like. That and Rickon really never was a big character considering he is the youngest Stark.

Arya also heading back to Winterfell... hopefully a reunion of the sisters. Not sure where Bran is right now... and yeah, I think Rickon will bite the dust on Ramsay's sadistic terms.

I'm expecting the Snow/Stark forces to be on the wrong end of a beating but then other forces coming to rescue the situation late in the day - cue Littlefinger... I'm wondering also if there might even be a strange twist in the tale that somehow involves the Lannister Army turning up and aiding the Starks? Stranger things have happened!
