Read the interview GSM posted where he says "Over the French Open and Wimbledon my back felt very good. Physically, it was fine." You saw the real Murray physically in the last 2 slams as he said it himself.

Feeling good is one thing, getting back 100% takes awhile, you know how good Murray is on his real game, just get ready for it.Your a real joker if you think he's done & dusted.

When did I say he was done and dusted? And why the tone calling me a joker?! I merely said he was interviewed and said himself he was 100% physically ok. He clearly didn't play well against Dimitrov but he's said himself he was physically fine. I don't expect him to get much worse personally and can only see him get better. Was simply pointing out that he if he himself says he was physically fine at the French Open and Wimbledon then it's a bit much for you to disagree with him. He himself isn't excusing any losses due to injury but it seems you are.

I've been reading a few posts saying Andy not good, you know he had a Back OP.This is what Andy says.

ATP Tour: Andy Murray hoping to finish disappointing 2014 season with a flourish.

British No 1 Andy Murray is eyeing consistency during the rest of the season to fire himself back up the tennis rankings.

The Scot has not been at his best this season and dropped to world No 9 as a result, meaning he could face a potential quarter-final with Novak Djokovic at the Toronto Masters this week.

But Murray, who at one stage was as high as No 2 in the world, believes he is starting to find form and expects to climb up the rankings, especially as his season last year was cut short through back surgery.

He told Sky Sports: “The lower you drop in the rankings, naturally the harder the draws become but hopefully I can pick some points up over the next few weeks and months.

“Obviously I didn’t play the last three months of last year, so after the US Open I have no points to defend through to the end of the year and hopefully then the ranking will start to move up again.

“But outside of the Slams really it’s been a tough year for me, I haven’t played so well.

“In the Slams, I’ve had a few disappointing matches. But I’ve played some good tennis the last few months and I just need to get the consistency now.”

And what has any of that to do with him being physically 100% in his own words at Wimbledon and the French Open? Nothing. He says he needs to play better and more consistently. He's right and I'm sure he will but I'm also taking him for his word at being 100% in the last 2 slams.

Actually, he didn't say he was "100% at the last 2 slams" - he said "now I can start training again 100 percent, not holding back," which is slightly different.

He had a lot of physical work to do, and he wasn't training 100% up until now. He said his back felt fine, though, which surprises me, because it looked at times like he was hampered. But then again, when things don't go his way, he grips some part of his body to complain, so I could have been conned.

Hopefully, we'll see the benefits of his better training in the next few weeks...

Yes, he did, and he also said that only "Now I can start training again 100 percent, not holding back." That's a bit different to saying he was 100% at both slams. Physically, he obviously had work to do, and he can do it "100%" now, but not then...

I wasn't the one who said I was physically fine in Wimbledon and the French Open. Don't shoot the messenger.

Nor was Andy. He said that he is "now training at 100%" and that his back was fine at Wimbledon and Paris. You see the difference, right?

Andy said in the post match interview today that between Wimbledon and now he trained harder than he has since before his operation. He didn't say he's been carrying an injury but he did say after the operation he has to be a bit more careful in his training and not try and push too hard.

It sounds to me like while he hasn't been carrying some sort of injury that has held him back this year, he hasn't be able to push himself to the absolute peak of fitness that he had before the operation, which may have hampered him slightly, but I think we're talking very small percentage points here and given how heavily he lost to Nadal in Paris and Dimitrov at Wimbledon, I don't think it would have made a difference to the outcomes of those matches, myself.

He played well today and he served better than he has in a long time. Perhaps Amelie had some tricks up her sleeve in that department - it will be interesting to see if that serving performance was just an especially good day at the office or whether it may prove to be a theme of the Murresmo partnership.

Did someone already mention this? I heard they've decided to make the partnership permanent. (By which I guess they mean the provisional period is over, and they're going forward.)

Yeah, I posted about this somewhere, he's made it "long term." Not sure on the details, but they'll stick together until after the US Open. Then, once Amelie has darned his socks and ironed his shirts, she's allowed to go... :p

By which they mean the will work together until one or both of them do not want to work
together anymore.

Yup, just like marriage: till death us do part. Queue divorce 2 weeks later.

Murray might still be smarting from his divorce from Lendl. Hopefully, Amelie isn't a rebound-marriage.
