No I didn't. Stan has beaten Djoker 4 straight at majors, that is ownership.
Three times in a row, including the other day.

Stan has made him look silly at majors for over 5 years now, no?
Do you really want to go "tit" for "tat" w/ me? Anything you can come up w/ a neg. c/b turned around to make you look like a hypocrite!
Well, me too, as I forgot about the other night, when Novak retired, but I got my intel from the ATP website, which had this graphic, which was clearly wrong, even before the last match was played. Still, I think you overstate the notion of "ownership" when the H2H is 19-6.I stand corrected. 4 out of 5 he has beaten him, last 3 pretty decisively.
If Nadal wins #19 at the USO, I have a feeling that Federer would retire by the end of the year. I don’t think Federer would want to be equalled or passed by his main rival while he’s still playing. By retiring, at least he can say that he still had the record and that he just made a decision to not keep going to try to add to his tally. I wouldn’t imagine Federer playing on tour while he’s not the Goat anymore. Contrary to what he might say, it must not be easy.
He already said he wanted to play the Olympics 1 more time next year! He's going nowhere & he's not retiring anytime soon!
I thought I heard the rules were being overlooked for Federer to participate! He won't need to qualify like a normal player! Love when Roger gets all bent out of shape because he feel people think he "runs the show and tell people what to do behind the scenes!" Maybe not, but concessions are made and accommodations fulfilled when his name is bandied about! :cuckoo:
You have the memory of an elephant, because that was like 1,000 years ago, but not quite a perfect memory, because Marko got a WC...meaning that he didn't replace anyone in the draw already. (Do you think we can't Google?) Not saying it was a good move, just saying that you got some of that wrong.Djokovic got his brother (who is beyond useless at tennis btw) into a tournament by way of kicking out a guy already in the draw so don't act like Federer gets special treatment 'cos that particular incident was way worse than what you're merely speculating about.
That's my feeling, and it's not even stars. You post the best athletes. How would it even be a good Olympic Games, if you didn't? I remember getting slagged for saying that before Rio. Who else has Switzerland got, besides Wawrinka? All/most other sports do Olympic trials. How would Roger not make the grade? He's ranked #3 in the world. Look at every country that is going to send tennis players, and say with a straight face how many deserve to be there more than Roger.Special players get special treatments. Always. Rafa asks for a WC to a tournament, you have to be nuts to turn him away. Roger says he will play the Olympics, you bury those requirement so deep that the best forensic accountant can not even locate it. You do not turn stars away from anything. Fuck the rules.

As to Fed and the OG...I think we had this discussion prior to Rio, which didn't matter in the end, because Roger didn't go. I still don't see why the Swiss Olympic committee can't have a say in who represents them. But so what is the impediment...does Roger have to play DC this year? Or will next year suffice, to be eligible?
I have a feeling that Roger might "mentally give up" on the slam record, now that Ralph is just one behind and sure to get at least one more RG. But, here is the interesting thing. Once he gives up, he will be more relaxed and plays without pressure and might actually win a slam or two next year. Just a thought.
