Well that just confirms Federer fans are more rabid than supporters of Nadovic! That lack of respect Nole got at Wimbledon was palpable during that final! Fine, support the old coot, but I expected better from British tennis fans who really embarrassed themselves raving support for Roger alone! Unfortunately I've seen this before when Lendl overtook Connors and McEnroe for #1! :nono:  :banghead: :cuckoo:

It confirms he has more fans not the baloney you wrote

Another reason why Roger is still the HC king. 5 consecutive titles at the USO is a record that will last a long, long time.

Can’t argue with that, however I doubt Novak is completely done with his HC haul. As it is, he’s only 1 behind Federer in HC major wins, has more HC Masters wins and has the edge over Federer in Head2head in HC and Major HC matches. When all is said and done Novak could in the near future very well be considered the HC GOAT.

Is there any doubt in your mind this'll happen; sooner than later? Mon Dieu, Roger's 5+ years older and if his records are within eye-shot, Nole will more than likely take it over within the next 2 or 3 years! :yesyes: :p   :ptennis:

My expectations for Fed are very low for this USO. A SF should be good enough for the old man.

I've actually lost a little respect for him the way he played fakervic, I genuinely thought it would be different this time beating dull in the SF and being in good enough form for winning Wimbledon but losing 3 TBs when you're the TB GOAT, playing like chickenshit all match is just too unbearable.

My expectations are low too but SF is no decent result anyways. People were acting like he's in good form just for reaching RG semis where he got destroyed. Roger was ok at Wimbledon in patches. I was impressed with a good amount of the final but it just goes to show how little it means when you are awful in the big moments. If Fed meets Djoker in the semis I can only imagine how confident the latter will be.

Yes making slam SF, winning Basel, Halle doesn't do anything to enhance his legacy when the other two pushers are racking up slam after slam without any resistance from this ballless generation.

It will be a good enough recovery from the Wimbledon disaster, a step in the right direction. Usually such defeats have the potential to end even a young player's career let alone someone who is 38.

Fed has a point to prove now. It comes down to mindset. If Fed plays with a positive mindset then he can beat faker in the USO SF.

Who cares about how Fed or faker played? 10 years down the line only the results will show as history blurs the details.

The news of Novak's left shoulder would have reached Fed by now. I expect that to inject a fresh breath of life in him.
Expect Fed to come out guns blazing in the next round and take out Evans in three sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2.

Good chance for Fed now to end his agonising USO drought. Don't you dare fuck this up, Fed!

The real one or the imaginary legacy his fan & the media have created? The real resume has him being abused by 2 other players!

Unfortunate choice of words there but if you watched the Wimbledon final then you'd know he abused himself and not the other way round. Either way it's an image I could do without tbh. :negative:

The game is played against the field. Or are we also saying Stan has a better legacy than Djoker who he absolutely owns lock and key.

Before 2012, Djokovic was Roger’s pigeon. Nadal is a different story. I am happy and surprised to see you posting soon after Djokovic’s exit.

You forgot to look up the h2h before you posted that. Djokovic leads it 19-5, and 4-3 at Majors.

It wasn't like I was going to be surprised! Did I say Nole would defend this title? Nope; already posted history said he wouldn't! No one has defended this event since Federer over 10 yrs ago! This is obviously the seriously hard tourney to win; look at Borg's futility! :nono:
