This is the other tournament, in Kazakhstan, Paire just lost to Kukushkin in 3, but a match that he was controlling early in each of the first two sets. I was watching, and looked at my draw. To my surprise, I'd picked Paire to win the whole tournament. WTF was I thinking??

Oh well that was a bit of a letdown Sinner had to retire with a right foot injury in his match against Rublev,Rublev was leading 2-1.
Rublev advances to the q/finals where he will play the winner of Theim vs Garin. What a year this young man is having,I am liking him more and more, yes he does have great hair as well:)

Rublev v. Thiem is the popcorn match of the day. Dimitrov v Evans should be interesting. I hope that Medvedev is up for taking down Anderson. LL Sonego, though, is toast.

Rublev vs Theim is the 'standout match' I am not a fan of Theim,so I will be cheering for Rublev.

Wow glad to see Grigor taking out the fake Hero.
Daniil not looking strong enough to win this.
Could be Novak - Andrej Final.
Hope the young russian puts Diva down.

I'm pretty surprised that you're picking Rublev to beat Novak, but at least you admit that he's a bit of a Diva.

Haha, this for example was extremely funny.
Remembers me why I like you so much.

For the others out there: I meant the German peasant not Novak.
Which don’t means Andrej coudnt beat him. He is becoming better and better.

Sadly Daniil is far from his best level.

He even loses to the fake African .

Congrats to Rublev defeating Theim 76(5) 62....
Theim seemed to have a problem with his foot in the 2nd set,I wonder if he will play Paris?

I hope Thiem is okay and it is just a minor injury. If I were him, I wouldn’t risk it next week at Bercy. Just rest and prepare for the ATP Finals in two weeks

Battleship Theim seemed to be running on reserve power, engine impaired and below warp speed.

However Battleship Rublev had full thruster power and photon torpedoes were ablazing.

Seems like Novak reached his goal already.
Pathetic performance from him.

(LL) Sonego gets the biggest win of his career so far defeating the No1 seed Djokovic 62 61.( I am still trying to get my head around what I just witnessed on court).

In the great scheme of things it doesn't really matter, and I doubt it will happen again.

Lorenzo Sonego d. Novak 6-2, 6-1

However great for the Italian kid to win and tell your kids and grandkids you beat an ATG, 1 ranked player in the world.

Forza Lorenzo!
