you know what worthless is? Giving any credibility to the poster who thinks that Federer built his slam palace on defence. I swear Pusher, I can't take anything you say seriously now. Keep on keeping on though! :lulz1:
show me where I said Roger just built his game only on defense..

Don't put words that Rafa has never said and try to read what exactly he said
That's what he does..takes other's words twist until his liking and then try to make someone out to be an angry poster..I said Roger's defense is at a high level as Rafa and Novak..yet he twisted it to say that I have stated that Roger's won his slams primarily based on defense when I spent my previous posts having banter with Darth about how Fed's serve is one of the all time greatest.. Will GSM or Front call him out on it..not a chance in Hades yet they will wait until someone like Moxie informs him of his inaccuraries.

if he had said that at a time it wasn't to his benefit it might mean something. Frankly this has been the way it is all of his career. It amuses me no end how self serving he can be

You understand he was asked about this right? He didn't just call a press conference to talk about this.

And it's OK. You read a sensationalist headline and fell for it. It happens.

Nadal just needed to play in Queens and reach QF, he would have been #2 despite Roger winning Halle. Instead of doing that, he just cries foul play. He knows how the system works before hand as well as everyone else (and there is nothing wrong with the system in view of short grass season).

Where on earth did he cry foul play? Did you even read what he said? We both understand what foul play means. You guys reaaaaaaaally take this far with the conspiracy theories. Players aren't as stupid. They don't actually believe that stuff, luckily. They don't believe a tournament is out to get them even when they lament certain aspects.

dull knows the rules but he feels he deserves special treatment.

Okay.. explain how Roger's has 20 titles and be able to defeat the other big for atleast for half of the titles..are you saying Roger's beautiful smooth playing style has given him the edge of Nadal , Murray and Djokervic.. Acourse it's his defense..

But we come back to practicalities. Dreddy Brown is the poster child for "fun grass tennis." Who else would you say has been unfairly excluded, based on the current system, or would benefit from some "Wild West" seeding? Feliciano Lopez? Matteo Berretini? Who do you think is an especially fine grass player that has been excluded/relegating to qualies, that you'd move to the main draw?

Hmm, I am not following that closely to be able to add other names besides the two you mentioned (maybe Tsonga). But that is precisely the point, Moxie. We should not come back to practicalities. The (particular) point is: why there are seeds in the first place? To lessen the effects of the randomness of the draw (and avoid, for example, that you have on R2 the winner of Federer x Djokovic against the winner of Nadal x Thiem). If you assume grass is different enough from the other surfaces, then you have a different pecking order. It is in the interest of the tournament (and "fair" in the sense of the competition), that this pecking order is reflected in the seeds. The "benefit" high seeded players get is a side effect, in the sense that the seeding system is not there to protect their interests, but to ensure competition. The fact that occasionally two different systems produce similar outcomes should not be important.

P.S Mischa Zverev and possibly Sergiy Stakhovsky. (I had to think hard to cite a name that had not crossed with Nadal so it does not look like sour grapes).

Dreddy lost to Ymer, the grass specialist can't even make the qualies  He was downed by M, but even if it was E who could tell the difference? :-)2

Dig deeper.. reading is fundamental and Listening is a skill..Have I said it was only his defense..BTW. remember who you are and who you are dealing with before you begin to the profanity and name calling.. I can definitely drop to your level but I got respect for Moxie, Tented, BB, Kelli and this board..Again if you have issues with my posts you have the ignore option and continue with your "simple" posts with others..I already exposed what type of person you are last year.and I know the majority of this board is compromised of many different nationalities , races and creed.. There's no need to inform new members your obvious stand when it comes to that subject.

It´s tough and boring to deal with some Federer fanboys, they only understand what they want, it doesn't matter what you explain to them

Moxie's Law: "As an online tennis discussion grows longer, the probability of it becoming an Federer-Nadal debate approaches 1."
Don't blame me...britbox posted the seedings decision. :D

EDIT: Reading back, it was @Federberg who originally posted about it. He was asking @britbox for a new emoji.

lol! mate! What are you going on about? Exposed me? How?? You're too funny! What you wrote is what you wrote. You can try to weasel out of it and claim to be misunderstood. That's fine. But it's there as a record for eternity. Deal with it

Come on, here is an exact quote form Ralph. I am not putting words into his mouth.

"It has not only happened to me, it has happened to other players. They do not respect the status that some players have earned throughout the season."

Do you think this is not whining?

Well, it's not an exact quote, since he said it in Spanish, though it's a reasonable paraphrase. This is what he said:

"Lo único que a mí no me parece bien de esta historia es que solo sea Wimbledon el que lo haga", comentó el actual número dos del mundo.

"Si lo hicieran todos los Grand Slams sería correcto, pero que lo haga solo un torneo, no solo ha ocurrido en mi lugar, le ha pasado a otros jugadores. No respetan el estatus que algunos jugadores se han ganado a lo largo de la temporada jugando bien en las diferentes superficies", matizó Nadal.

The above is a fuller quote. He said, "The only think that doesn't seem right to me in the whole thing is that it's only Wimbledon that does it. If they did it in all the other Grand Slams it would be fair, but they do it in only one tournament, it's not just me, it's happened to other players. They aren't respecting the ranking that some players have earned over the season playing well on different surfaces."

______________

Now, if you want to call that whining, that's your right. But if you take a step back for a second, and think about it with an open mind: both Broken and I have pointed out that a) he was asked a question, and he gave an opinion...he didn't call a press conference to complain about Wimbledon; b) folks around here keep saying that he knows how Wimbledon works, so why complain now? Again, he's being asked about it now because it's the first time it's been sort of a huge shift...Federer for Nadal, 3 to 2. As I looked for the original Spanish, (which Broken had already provided, btw,) I found a few sensationalist headlines about Nadal "blasting" Wimbledon, etc. And in bringing it up at all, it was Federberg's original post (not Britbox's, as I erroneously posted above,) that said only that Nadal called Wimbledon's ranking system "disrespectful." That's not really accurate. And the sportswriters were pulling out a quote and making drawing a sensational conclusion from it. The Express even had a headline about Djokovic weighing in on the "Federer Nadal Feud." As if! And btw, Djokovic said he thought it was surprising that they put Federer over Nadal.

Here's the thing: whether you agree or not with the Wimbledon ranking system, it is anomalous in tennis, and there is room for debate. Mrzz and I were debating it above. Nadal is a professional tennis player and has a right to his opinion, and it comes from the inside.

You are saying it is not the exact quote and then providing the very same exact quote.

I never said that that is the only thing Ralph said.

The WTA do not follow the mens seeding at Wimbledon, they have ranked the newly No1 player Ash Barty as the top seed for Wimbledon.....so far I have not read one complaint regarding her seeding at Wimbledon.
