80% of points won on 2nd serve is very good for Roger.

Good example there of poor volleying by Roger. Kept hitting the ball right back to Vasek instead of angling it away out of reach. Don't know why he keeps doing it.

Ferrer down a set and 3-0 to Kohlschreiber. Keep it up, Kohli.

Roger always said he did not care for certain stats, like UE count or whatever, because as long as he hit his winners he was fine. Well, he is not hitting winners. Forehand looks weak, bachand looks shaky, volleys are average.

By this time in a set, Roger would usually have 7-8 forehand winners, at least. What is it now...2?

Yeah, his FH is just not good anymore. Serious lack of power on it and he seems to have forgotten the aim is to keep it inside the court and away from the net :nono

Another lame BH error. They're off both wings now and that error had nothing to do with his footwork either. His game is just nothing like it was.

I wish someone would compare the racket head speed from Roger 4-5 years ago to today on both wings. It seems to me he is hitting more top spin these days , not flattening it out as much as he used to.

I don't know. Bottom line, forehand has regressed. It affects everything from rallies to passing shots to defense.

Same thing happened to Roddick. Remember how much of a massive shot his FH was in his absolute prime? He hit it well in the Wimbledon 2009 final also but before then it had regressed a ton and basically his last few years on tour his FH was a powder puff compared to before. Same thing actually, more top spin in his later years on tour as his was also much flatter before. Don't know why it happened to both of them. Surely hitting flatter is still perfectly possible at any age and a better way to play?! He has a bigger racquet now too and basically isn't utilizing it to the full by not hitting flatter forehands.

Nice play there by Vasek. Poor error by Fed to end the game and set though.

What's the general consensus here? Will Federror take over and lose or will he give the Canadian a Vasektomy and win?

Well, Vasektomy it was in the end. Good job, Roger.
