Monfils is a set and double break up.

Tomorrow night we will most probably have Monfils, the showman versus Rog.

Le Monf putting on a show in front his Davis Cup teammates and Vika. RBA can only shake his head. 6-4 4-1

Monfils v Federer could be a good one and I'd have to give the edge to Monfils if he serves well as Federer has been pretty poor. Sadly will miss it and the rest of the tournament as I'll be in Faro from Friday-Monday and my laptop is a bit big to take with us and the missus decided to leave the nice small one in Riga around a year ago, which frankly annoys me as it's great for weekend breaks to check a few things before you go to sleep :nono Why she can't bring it with her to Riga every time I've no idea. It's a tiny 12" one we bought specially for travelling, not for leaving in Latvia :/ Women!

La Monf will be missing his grey matter. He will put on a entertaining show as usual
and forget that the objective here is to win the match.

Fed is already acclimatized to the conditions in Cincy and would have got plenty
of rest considering his match is night match, whereas his previous match is a day
match.

Also, Fed said in an interview before the tourney that he fears losing in the
first round and if he wins the first round, he actually expects to reach the finals
at least.

Finally, given that he got the 300 match wins, it will be more relaxing for
Fed also.

Stan vs. Cilic will most probably be a hard fought three set battle, lasting more than 2.5 hours.

Well finals would be a great result but also a miracle the way he played today imo. I missed the stats at the end but Murat said Roger had only 6 FH winners and 0 BH winners! That's beyond awful. Even pushers get more than that. The only good stat was 83% of 2nd serve points won, which was excellent. That stat I heard the commentators say at the end.

In first match of the second tourney, you don't look for stat. Say, thanks for the win and
move on.

^ Hopefully, although I'd have preferred the scoreline earlier against Monfils first and Pospisil next round. Monfils can be a headcase but a headcase with a big serve and Roger throws in a large amount of slop these days and can't afford to.

I am not privy to what is going on. But, it is not a prank. It looks like the
administrators/owners/moderators of the forum have blocked it and are trying
to come out with some guidelines now. Let us wait and see for a couple of
days, before overreacting.

I don't take LB's threats seriously; he is probably overestimating his powers.

Hopefully, freedom of expression will win in the end.

We will not capsize the biological passport thread, but maybe you could all have a heart. We're trying to work through some difficult moderation. Some folks have been puny, and punitive, to others and to us. Some times it takes a few minutes. Sit back. Relax. We are experiencing technical difficulties.

You're doing great, sista. I think I speak for everyone in saying how grateful we are to you and your fellow mods and admin in providing this facility for dynamic discussion. Of course there's got to be boundaries and everything's a learning curve.

Best tennis discussion forum I've seen, what with all the aspects and interviews, blogs, and the members here too, who are committed to passionate discussion, and the credit for that goes to you and the rest of the team...

Thanks, Kieran. And to that point, anyone who hasn't should look at Kiu's photos from Cincy on his photo blog where he is taking pictures on our behalf. Feel free to comment on the Front Page, too.
