Sorry to see that Potro lost. Looks like a Nadal v AZ final. Does anyone else think AZ plays like Djoke?

I would say they both have a lot more than that. The problem is between the ears.
Yes, they have more than the serve but not so much like some people think. If both players can’t win a tournaments can you imagine without those good serves? I think they need to be more consistent, some players can do it, others not and that’s why these ones never could be a great ones

I just watched a few games and Rafa seemed it well in hand. But Fognini v. Zverev is very entertaining.

Very solid game and serve by Rafa. His next opponent is mr. torpedo but I hope Rafa plays better than in the Laver Cup, this is a Tournament and everything counts

The kid (insert also Rublev, etc) just goes for the lines, it's nice when they all fall in, but no margin of error. Rafa has a nice tidy net game, just has developed through the years a good sense when to close the point at net.

Isner next , so will be Isner be Isner or show something new?

Back to Miami....a little bit nostalgic after to have a very good time, good company and family reunion, I miss all of them already :rose:
I’m waiting to watch the Nadal-Isner replay march. Rafa is playing well and I suppose that depending his result in this tournaments and Shanghai he will skip Basel and Paris

Very good played by Rafa, he has read very well the Isner serves, good returns (unless the Isner 22 for 5 Rafa’s aces) good serve and beautiful shots, nothing to do with the Laver Cup match.
Hope the 8-1 H2H against Dimitrov become a 9-1. By the way Dimi has said it’s a honor to play against Rafa, both have trained many times together and have very good friendship but I hope not in this next match :boxing:

At best he'll skip Basel but I can't see him skipping Paris personally. You kind of need to play one or the other to get some indoor practice ahead of the WTF.

It’s funny to see what the people think about Kyrgios plays well when he wants when he shows so much anger when he loses and also crying. Hope Rafa tomorrow takes a good revenge of that punk

Well, looks like Nick is caring enough to make it to a final of a tournament, he must mean business. My money would be on him to win the final. Of course it could be 6-1, 6-0 for Rafa as well. Beauty of Nick ...

Since he didn't defend Japan, it only makes sense to compete in China final! He needs to beef up that ranking; seeded #8 is pretty low for someone with his abilities! Should be a nice final! :boxing: :good:

Some of us have to keep the Rafa-GOAT nonsense in check! I've chronicled his deficiencies ad nauseam, but his recent success, winning 2 majors and ripping the #1 ranking from his closest rival at this stage in his career can only be marveled! The ebb and flow concerning "The Greatest" issue still rages! In my day it was settled with Laver since he owned 2 CYGS's, then Sampras overtook Emerson making him "top dog!"

We've all waged war with the latest incarnate of tennis gods in Fedalovic! Nole still has a chance to come back and make more of a mark, but is out of the discussion in most people's minds concerning his status compared to Fedal! People thought Roger was done and it was only a matter of time when Nadal would supplant him at the top! Roger winning 2 more majors has put that in question! Every time I thinks it's "a done deal," another scenario emerges out of nowhere!

Nole gave Rafa life in 2012 after choking away 4th set in a TB and going down a break in the 5th! Nadal missed that passing shot at 30 all and broke himself giving Nole life and the win that went 5:53! I'm still trying to recover watching it all live! Never again; will catch the repeats from now on! Today's players just aren't that entertaining to watch the way they play the game from the baseline on homogenized courts for the most part!
