Nick's antics haven't gotten to me as much over the years! I was watching when he decided to try and humiliate Wawrinka bringing up relationship he had with a kid at the end of his marriage years ago! I was embarrassed for all concerned! Like Nastase, Connors, & McEnroe, some players can get away with being jerks and retain fan support! Kyrgios hasn't reached that yet, but he seems to have calmed down! He gave moderate support for Novak during the controversy back in January! His 2 upsets of Nadal will always be a highlight in tennis memories; esp. overcoming 5 or 6 MP's held by Rafa in that TB in Acapulco!

I recall Medvedev lost in Miami last year in the QTRS so if he makes the SF"s there he might be back to #1?

I am still out on Nick,lets see if he can keep his focus for as long as he is playing at IW.,he has to convince me,than just a couple of matches,actions speak louder than words.

Seriously, Rafa should be called "Friar Nadal" at this point. IT is very noticeable.

I lived out there in Rancho Cordova thru the 90's and was a member of that tennis club in Gold River IIRC! Got to see Connors and Martina a couple times! Hit a few balls with his kid Brett! He didn't have it!

Nadal's next opponent could either be Opelka or Shapovalov that should be a "tricky' match either way. Also, Nadal has to be efficient because if he does win on Wednesday, he has to comeback on Thursday for his potential QF match. I do wonder if the tournament will do afternoon then night match for Nadal on Wednesday and Thursday.
