I am ok with Ferrer not making it. But, I would exchange Milos with Grigor for WTF though.
But, Milos is only 23 and I probably have to put up with him for 10 more years. May be
I should change and follow some other sport after the big four leaves and Milos becomes
#1.

Milos won't ever be #1, probably won't get to #2.

It shouldn't take much to get to #2; esp. after Roger, Nole and Rafa drop out! In the old days we've had notable #2's like Tommy Haas and Michael Stich! You just need one major final appearance and a couple other good showings in a Master! The men have a wealth of riches with 3 super talents competing at the same time! They have had unprecedented results, when 30+ year tennis records have been matched and surpassed in just the last 5! Only because of the depth of the ATP is dragging Stanley down at this time! Even with a major win at OZ and a Master, he might not even finish in the top 4! Murray's made a last minute push to get back there by season's end! :nono :puzzled

Murray made a push all right, but the push so far brought him only to make the final. The race within 4-8 is wide open, any of those players can be finishing anywhere, depending how they do there.

You wanted variety at the WTF, you got it;)
And what s up with everyone wanting Dimitrov at the WTF? Did you see what he did against Murray? Was not that enough?
He needs to have a nice vacation with Maria and work on his tactics, because they are not good enough just yet.

Tell them herios!!!:clap

I don't understand all the complaining as well. Those who get most points, get in (the same would be true with #1 ranking). My gosh, I don't like a lot of things but I rarely complain. And who is to say that Dimitrov would not lose all 3 of his matches at the WTF (with this form) even if he had made it?

And I like Dimitrov!!

I like him too, but at this point, HE IS NOT THAT GOOD. I know, everyone almost wants him to do well, some are even "irritated" that he is not playing better, Argh:speechless:

As far as the #1 ranking, Fedfans just got plain greedy. Like he did not had it enough aleardy.
You guys should be happy he is ranked as high as he is after last year and he has a chance to pocket the DC.

I can't say I'm too disappointed in the result. Andy is needing the rest. I don't see anybody beating Novak.

I am sad to see Ferrer not make the WTF. I had to root for FEDERER today and he let me down. He had ONE blooming job to do. I wasn't thinking for a second that he would lose.

Raonic is going to bore me to tears.

Hey Iona,
You do not see a whole lot of athleticism when you go to a MIlos match, but when he unleashes a 240km serve, the sound of the ball coming off the racket, and the sound it makes when it hits the back drop...there is always a collective gasp from the audience. It is fun actually. You want more...That power never translates properly on TV. You will have some fun, I hope.:)

Unless you think he is a talentless hack at this point I'd see no reason to be happy with his year. I don't think he's at the point where he should only be hoping to win a couple MS events and have 1 decent slam run that he didn't cash in on.

No, what I am saying, at this age they used to slow down and be inconsistent so he is outplaying his peers (former greats).
He set goal to win 4-5 titles this year, he did that. Mission accomplished, as far as I am concerned.
He scored big in the fatherhood department as well this year, that is priceless, so he has to be the happiest dude. :s

He was better than anyone we had seen before, it's natural that he should be the best 30+ year old we've seen, only I'm not sure that's the case. Thus far guys like Agassi and Connors have done better.

I still think he has the ability to be great and get it done on the big stage...but he hasn't 3 of the last 4 years now.

So far so good, Milos up a break in the first set with Tomas.

It is not a big secret, that I am rooting for a Djonic final;)

May I make a 'fashion statement' please

To Tomas please burn that 'choc chip tee shirt' after you finish playing at Paris.

Rooting for Raonic almost killed me yesterday. Glad to see Berdy up a break in the 2nd.

^ Go Berd, because I don't want to be in Nehmeth's position of having to root for the serve bot in the final.

You are making me laugh with your rooting for unlikely candidates, so thank you for that:clap

Tight 3rd set, who knows who will win. I am fond of Berdy, but if it is Milos, I am OK with that too.:D

Stefan's Dad. Number one ranking for him to be preserved, that is the most important next goal for me.
