RE: Viktor Troicki banned for 18 months

I think they kept quiet for the compelling reason GSAM gave above, one I mentioned myself too, and that is that due process has to be followed. You're assuming that he was told to fake an injury at Wimbledon, but this was most likely his own initiative: he was told about the failed test just before his second round match in Wimbledon and subsequently withdrew. After this, his withdrawal from his home tourney caused journo's to peek into things. They found out the truth.

If there were bigger fish out there who suffered a so-called Grassy Knoll ban - sorry, a silent ban - then we'd have heard about it, either from journalists or fellow top pros. Unless the mafia and Vatican and the Rothschilds have told them all to button it.

By the way, I agree with Tented: if any top players are under suspicion, then obviously they all are. And I think it's unfair to treat them all with suspicion...

RE: Viktor Troicki banned for 18 months

I'm sure they do indeed have to follow due process but this failed test was in April. It's now almost August. They surely don't take that long to announce things and if they do it's adding to the joke that already exists within doping in tennis. Clearly whoever administered the test was obligated to inform the ITF of the failed test and it's enlightening at least that the Croatian media aren't protecting their top player and are going by the rules and making it public. Whether Cilic was told to cite a fake injury or chose to do this himself isn't really a big deal as I'm sure we'll find out the ITF's side of the story soon, together with a side garnish of cover up BS. The bigger problem for the ITF now is this has been a bad week for their sport. Troicki while he's been ranked higher, currently isn't a high profile player. Cilic, while not a big name in tennis, in ranking terms is getting closer to the top in terms of bad guys caught out. Currently ranked number 15 and recently in the Queen's final against Murray makes him pretty big news for a doping scandal and it doesn't look good for the ITF so for this reason, that's why I'm sure it's been brushed aside for now and we've only heard about it 3 months after the incident occurred.

RE: Viktor Troicki banned for 18 months

I agree that it's a bad week for the sport. The rest of it's speculation and neither here nor there.

But at the same time, it's not a bad week for the sport. It's a wake-up call, and also a serious threat to any players tempted to cheat. The sooner they increase the bans, the better, however. I still don't see why life-bans aren't the norm for drug cheats. It would be the ultimate deterrent...

RE: Biogenesis Scandal - Tennis Players on the books

Front do you play tennis?

I think MTF would be a great place for you to further the discussion, it's obvious that seeing the love of you life losing to "inferior" players like Rafa, Novak and Murray for the last 5 years has created a great deal of pain.

Nadal especially must be a doper, the guy that made ballerina cry.........it probably made you cry as well. You said we will know the truth in the next 5 years, I say why wait? You already know so please enlighten us why Nadal it's doping and the rest of the world it's ignorant to this fact.

Quote the post where Front has mentioned Nadal is doping and argue the post specifically.

Well if Fuentes blood bags hadn't been conveniently disposed of and they tested them all and dished out retroactive lifetime bans I'd be all for that!

Well, we don't know what they'd show but yes, I'd be for a life ban too. I'm for it regardless of Fuentes, who's not the only source of trouble.

For the record, I think you were asked elsewhere: is it your opinion that all the top 4 players are bogey?

And if they were, would you still follow Federer?

After rereading the article you are right that he wasn't necessarily told to fake an injury at Wimbledon. That may have been his own decision. Regardless the main problem is why haven't we heard about this from the ITF? Due process in a doping case would be to investigate further after an appeal and we don't even know if Cilic appealed it, rather he just gave a "reason" for why he failed the test. If there is no appeal then the whole process after the failed test would take next to no time, certainly not over a month.

He hasn't mentioned any of them. The only person who has explicitly suggested a high profile doper is tented and called out Roger Federer.

really? You need to read his posts again, this is not the first time around for him. After all, he is the father of the "Nadal silent ban" in this board. The thing is, he doesn't have the courage now to spell out the names....so I did a favor for him.

I want to know what he know regarding Rafa's doping abuse........

Fuentes client list will one day be in the public domain.

It should be already. It's doing no favours to the innocent to conceal it...

How do you figure that? Everything about the case is one big cover up.

Quote the post then buddy re: Nadal silent ban, because I can't find it. All, I will say is that there are people who have expressed a concern with the anti-doping protocols in tennis not being good enough. Last week, you basically said "Nothing to see here, move along..." Bearing in mind, the events of the past week, are you still of a similar mind?

The evidence may get destroyed on a judges orders but it only takes Fuentes, his wife or an associate to whistle blow on the whole charade.

He has MANY posts, just read the active threads right now..........

The events of the past week hasn't change a thing for me. Taking ban substance in sports has always been the reality; taking ban substances in tennis among the big names? That's a whole different proposition, I mean Agassi did performance hindrance drugs, Gasquet kissed too many "coked girls" but actual PED aim at boosting fitness or even mental concentration if such thing exist? Nah

Just a case of SOUR GRAPES among a small group of fans that loves a particular player very much.

so stop beating around the bush. who are the players on your suspect list?

All I'll say is it should be obvious to anyone without biased eyes. I'll leave the rest up to you and hopefully we'll get the definitive answer in a few years down the line.

Britbox; is it obvious to you who front it's looking at without biased eyes?

I think you need to read front a little bit harder mate
