What a shake hands so much "affective" between both players :snicker
Like I always say, some players take to much risk depending to whom they play, if they have a lucky day sometimes they win but not most of the times ;)

I'd like to see the highlights just to watch them shaking hands at the end. I'm still chuckling after last weeks handshake... :snicker

Handshakes and sportsmanship in general are overrated. I liked that "handshake" last week, bad enough they make them shake hands at all.

I totally agree. Although I think they should shake hands after, I never like when they kiss and cuddle, and tickle each other under the chin, at the net after a match, as if defeat was no big deal... :nono

Dear Andreas,
Don't ever do that to me again. Hopefully this match reminds you who you are relative to me.

Regards,
Roger

I heard Roger's match was like 36 minutes or something. Really?

47 minutes -- very fast. The commentator marveled at his flying around "like a gazelle" at 34.

I always hated shaking someone's sweaty hand at the end, especially after they just ran their hand over their face or thru their hair. They players should just bow at the net. :snicker

No big upsets today. Nadal continues his incline (who the heck started all this "cline" business?). Muuray, Federer, Nadal all looked good today. Troicki has woken up a bit late but maybe he can end his incline-decline season on an incline.

Looks like Thiem has this one. Was hoping for Anderson to make a push for the top Ten but I guess this ends his chances. Oh well, at least he got his visitor's pass to the Top Ten once.

but it doesn't mean defeatr is no big deal, it measn that even though they're really diappotned, they're not going to be so consumed by it int he moment that they forget to be a decent huma being.
i like it when novak does everything he can to beat an opponent, but at the end he'll give them a hug, win or lose.
[does that mean he's not dpesreately disppoitned? no. he's just being classy, not letting his dispapoitne,tn over shadow the fact that that, such as when he was defated by Stan at the fo, or andy at wd, he actually lkies and repsects these guys he's playing.]
I like the handshake. it amrks the disticntion between the warrior oppostion on the court, and the humanity off it. it symbolises this: 'even though i've done everything to beat you during the match, now the match is over, you're a fellow human ebing, and i respect you.'
the people who say 'i like a bit of needle, wasn't it great when the top playrs used to ahte each other? no, it wasn't. it was boring. yawn. there's enough hate in the world already.

Surely it is. I am watching with I think Woodford commenting and he said twice Thiem is just 3 points from victory. Not anymore.

Love the way Federer starts walking to the net right after he hits his drop shot on match point.

1. Amazing what living to face Fed could do to Rafa's confidence. He beat the crap out of Rosol 2-2.

2. Amazing what winning against Rafa could do to Fed. He beat the crap out of Seppi 1-1.

Wow, what a match. Three tie breaks. Anderson wins 6-7(3), 7-6(4), 7-6(5). Thiem was so close. Tough way to end the season. And Anderson ain't done yet! Gets Nadal next.

That could be a good one given Anderson's level all year.
