It's sad that he gets all fired up and redlines against Fed. Meanwhile Novak got Simon in R3 who struggles to win points in his own service games. Or Murray and Goffin...

I felt the same about Nole in the early days when he was banging heads with tougher competition and rewarded with opportunity to get pummeled by Rafa or Roger while those 2 got fat on WC's, qualifiers, and has-beens! :nono :p

But in "the early days", Fed and Rafa were 1 and 2 -- Novak was just trying to make his way to Top 5. You expected him to get WCs and qualifiers then without paying any dues? :lolz:

Not at all and don't begrudge the perks of being at the top of the rankings; just the hypocrisy when Nole's excoriated for having matches they deem easy! It's hardly his fault if he has so many pigeons he has little trouble with like Cilic, Ferrer, and Berdych! :p  :dodgy:

Congrats Ferru, I haven't seen the match but that smart decision to retire of Valencia due to the discomfort of his elbow now is working well
And Isner? same we have seen from others players, one day playing and serving great, the next day they can't repeat it :nono

I have no problem at all with his having no problems with his many pigeons; I do have a problem however with Fed being excoriated for a "weak era" because he too had so many pigeons.

What's it up to now? I forgot he was on a crazy streak of not dropping sets. I'm going to say it's at 27?

Morning to everyone on the wrong sides of the planet.

Went to bed after Murray won the first set. Good thing he did too since Gasquet took it to three.

Players like Ferrer give Isner fits and if that serve ain't clicking on all cylinders, it's sayonara. So this ends Isner's hope for Top ten finish and an alternate spot in the WTF. The French duo of Gasquet and Tsonga get to jog around London for a week.

How many sets has Djokovic won in a row now? Does anyone know what the record is?

Berdych is a good player, he can play some matches better than others but he never has been and never will be a Champion, he probably is one of the most insecurity player of the Tour :nono :-/

Berdych really had his chances but the world's # defense was great again which forced TB to commit another UFE.

Rafa serves a double on his first serve. I only ever saw one man win after this - Murray some time last year I think.

I know. Odd...

I know he's up a break already but rafa's not playing great. He's alert, but he looks heavy...
