Poor start from Richie vs Murray, hope he can wake up

I was wondering who are you rooting for in this match? ;)
I like both players but this time I'm rooting for Richie, he certainly needs it !! He's the last French guy still there so....

Sincerely I wouldn't mind if Rafa lose today. He is playing better and better and I after to play three tournaments in a row against tough opponents he has had enough time and results to see that he is almost ready to play against "the heavy artillery". He would time to rest a little bit more and to be ready for London which is one of the few tournaments (same like Miami) he doesn't have under his belt.

He doesn't have Paris Bercy under his belt either, but I see your point...

I know but I don't know why Paris Bercy never has had too much attention from me, maybe because is right after the Asia tournaments or a little before London but I've never liked too much :(

Yes! Andy does half-a-Rafa and escapes a set point in the 1st to take it 9-7. Whew...

Wow, Gasquet threatened for a moment to blow 5-3, 40-0

I would be uneasy depending onn Gasquet to defend me from even a small army of cockroaches.. lol

But Gasquet is at home, I got feeling he will be finalist, can even win.

Oh I have no doubt he has the skills and ability; it's never been about that unfortunately

Bye Bye Richie. :wave. The Energizer Bunny will be sending the Fed slayer to join Richie really soon.

Of course, Isner served like a mad man yesterday and volleyed like Edberg, but loses to Ferrer in straights the following day. I thought I couldn't hate him more than I already do. Guess I was wrong.
(Maybe not in straights, but he barely took it in a tiebreak)

It obviously took it out of him. Ferrer is the last bloke you want to face if you're not up for it...

Hey PM!

We both need to pay attention. When I read your post, I took it Ferrer had won - but they're still playing! :laydownlaughing

I saw it now too, sad isn't it? At least Rafa is still in the tourney. He won't stick around much longer, but what can we do...

These guys don't have a "brain" getting into baseline battles with Ferrer; need to attack relentlessly and not have extended rallies! You're playing right into his hands! The only one that blows him away in that tactic is Nole; David being one of his favorite "pigeons!" :cover:

It's sad that he gets all fired up and redlines against Fed. Meanwhile Novak got Simon in R3 who struggles to win points in his own service games. Or Murray and Goffin...

I felt the same about Nole in the early days when he was banging heads with tougher competition and rewarded with opportunity to get pummeled by Rafa or Roger while those 2 got fat on WC's, qualifiers, and has-beens! :nono :p

But in "the early days", Fed and Rafa were 1 and 2 -- Novak was just trying to make his way to Top 5. You expected him to get WCs and qualifiers then without paying any dues? :lolz:
