You complete twat, Roger. So predictable.

;) Sad thing is I truly thought this time was different. With that momentum if he started strong he could have run right through this set. I'm not pulling the plug yet though, he has shown good fight the first 2 sets.

I was optimistic because DP isn't that good.

Your standards are getting increasingly ridiculous as off late.

In any case, Roger's lost to plenty of people who aren't that good this year, including DP a couple of weeks ago.

Yes and Roger also beat him a week ago. DP isn't great, the one and only big tournament the guy won came 4 years ago. Facts are facts. It shouldn't take a Herculean effort from Roger to beat him...

Is this a serious argument? Remind me, what is Tomas Berdych's resume? Not that impressive. That doesn't stop him from troubling Roger, even pre-2013 Roger...

Yes and TB has proven to be a bigger problem for Roger than DP is. That doesn't mean Roger "shouldn't" beat Berd but due to the latter's return and bigger backhand he gives Roger more trouble than DP. Also if Roger is playing Berd indoors best of 3 with a lot on the line I'd have liked his chances coming in as well.

I don't disagree with any of the above, but I just don't see how DP's resume in the past 4 years has any bearing on his chances against a Federer who hasn't done squat this year. That's all.

Anyway, I really hope Roger takes this set.

Fed deciding set losses since 2008

in 08 he would lose his serve in the first 3 service games 61%
in 09 it was 66%
in 10 it was 68%
in 11 it was 75%
in 12 it was 80%
in 13 it was 100% :nono:nono

:(

I was hoping he'd run away with the set too but the only running happening here is down his leg as he continues to crap himself at the start of sets. I hope he gets the break back but I still dunno if he's coming back :s

Just unbelievable. I'm not counting him out yet, but if he goes down two breaks he's done.

Roger's really reminding me of the Tomas Berdychs and Richard Gasquets of the world: terrible head game.

Actually, it just came to me: Roger Federer is kinda similar now to what David Nalbandian was for most of his prime. A player who looks like he should be elite, but isn't because of erratic play.

Sadly that's a perfect description right now :(

Roger, you've got to do something with JM's mistake there to make it 30-30.

Seems to be the same lines people for every single match. One of 'em's a Cupid - she can call me "out" any time! :smooch

Are we talking short blond hair?;)

I know the one you mean, but my girl is the one calling the centre service line down the far end....
