Only just got home so just started watching the match. Started 80 mins ago and only 1-1 2nd set?! Was there some delay?

Same old Roger. He will be hitting the showers in 20 minutes now.

what's keeping Delpo in this match it's the first serve......

What's keeping Delpo in the game is that Roger goes to another dimension sometimes and there you go...This is the most frustrating thing for a fan. He raised his level so high for a period of time , and you think he is back, he goes and takes a nap...

Terrible game. Complete self destruction. Del Pot did not have to do anything in that
game that was donated.

Reading the comments last few pages it seems both were playing great and then Fed imploded and again to start set 2. Doh :/

On top of everything else Roger's serve just isn't good anymore. Any recovery he has in 2014 I sense would be due to getting some of that back.

Federer played great for all of 4 games. DP did well to close the set but has mostly just been solid most of the match.

Same old Roger of 2013 then. Plays well for periods to lull fans into a false sense of hope that he's back only to just let all that hope flow down the toilet as quickly as diarrhoea, which basically sums up his consistency right now. Poop. :nono

The commentator said in previous 11 appearances, Roger had not reached Sf only
once (in 2008). So, this is going to be second time in 12th appearance.

Yeah, and he came in there after withdrawing from Paris with a back injury. It doesn't take much to reach the semi at this event...

I think people were too optimistic regarding Fed's chances. As I said, I couldn't see him winning. The surface here is slower, so Del Potro has more time to hit big. And to me, the thing that stands out the most about Roger's game is that he really no longer has the ability to handle pace the way he used to. You can see him visibly wobbly, and it's not helped by the fact that he can't move or defend as well.

I picked Federer and still think he'll win. I don't trust DP to get the job done any more, regardless of surface speed or Roger's age...
