sets won and lost. Stan has a 4-4 tally while Berdych could have score a 5-3 record.

If Novak ends up 4-4 while Roger ends up at 5-2, then he should get the top spot.

But the guys keep saying Nole already is the group winner. Who is wrong here?

the guys I think

I don't know bro...The atp site says Novak won the group as well.

:laydownlaughing:laydownlaughing:laydownlaughing

they don't believe in Richie's ability or talent

I feel Roger is just a couple degrees off from finding the red zone. Credit to the Delpo for starting the match at a high level from the get go

Jeez, its just painful to watch Roger these days. One minute it looks like its his game to lose, the next he's looking like a #20 player.

He should just let this set go and try again next time around.

Well DelPo has to start off at a high level because if he fails to put his mark on this match early and Roger gets any level of confidence this will go three. He looks like he really wants to make the semis DelPo at the moment anyway.

Yeah, DP is hitting well but Roger is unable to maintain his levels. Very bad service game there, though in fairness to DP, he rassled it out of Rogers hands...

In a 2 way tie it is H2H so Nole wins the group because he beat both Fed and DP. In a 3 way tie where A beats B, B beats C and C beats A it goes to the sets won then games won.

Roger just looks horrid, the movement is tough to watch and he just doesn't get enough mileage from his forehand against DP.

Or rather, just go for broke - low percentage shots, try to get his full game going, get confidence back.

In case of a 2-way tie, the winner is determined by H2H.
In case of a 3-way tie, the winner is determined by % of sets won.

The winner of this match lost the H2H matchup against Djokovic. Hence Djokovic is the group winner even if he loses in straights to Gasquet.

That's recipe from disaster. Roger isn't going for broke and doesn't need to, he just is missing all the big forehands and DP is keeping it in play. And we already know about that stench known as Roger's ROS.

The frustrating thing is that I still think this is Roger's match to lose. When he's playing well, he's still better than del Potro. Plus, Juan Martin looks a bit tired.

Seems to be the same lines people for every single match. One of 'em's a Cupid - she can call me "out" any time! :smooch

Right on cue he suddenly starts moving well, that would bode well for the rest of the match if it lasts.
