Went upstairs for 2 mins and I come back to see Del Potro on the rampage!

Sloppy game really. It feels like DP is invisable, yet he is 4 -2 up.

Yeah, that's Sampras-like too, and DP is the only other player I've seen with it...

Front, I know you were there, but are all the gimmicks and lights and music not a distraction to the players when they sit down?

Novak's playing unreal so I doubt it. If you allow yourself to be distracted you're not a pro player. Novak looks totally in the zone. The camera that zooms across the arena and stops at random points to put spectators on the big screen is kinda cool but they only do it after points are over. All in all I doubt it.

Oh, professional players get distracted all the time - that's why the umpire says "quiet please" and "no flash photography."

Is the music very loud in the hall? I imagine if I'm DP facing a Nole in this mood, I might want some quiet at the change of ends. I've been at the US Open and they play music and show celebs on the screen, but it's outdoor and might feel less claustrophobic. Or maybe that's just me!

Don't remember it being that loud but yeah the US open can be loud alright.

It's almost like DP's policy is to wear out the Djoker backhand. He seems almost allergic to giving him a shot on his weaker wing...

I think Novak's forehand is really underestimated. First set it was actually his better shot with a lot of DTL forehands that turned winners. I think DP might be seeing that.

His inside out FH is monstrous as well. When he starting bossing Nadal around in sets 2 and much of set 3 at the US Open this year his inside out FH was killing Nadal. Sadly not enough ;) :p

I reckon this will go 3 sets. DP starts alot of these matches slowly and then kicks it in gear in the 2nd and 3rd sets.

Take a bow, kskate! :clap

I really doubt that. Unless we get a ride in the Nolecoaster.

Well we all know that can happen so I wouldn't be so quick to call this straight sets.

I stand corrected.

The seer never lies. :nono Here comes set 3. While I expect Novak to win now he has to stay out there longer to achieve it.

Novak better pick it up. This is not helping Roger at all. If Delpo wins today, even if Roger beats him it might not be enough...

Good call, K. I thought this looked to be done in straights, too. Del Potro stepped up. Well, we suspected this was going to be some match. Here we go...

I hope you're right! I want a Nadal-Djoker final, not the semi - I'll miss seeing that on Sunday. :nono

Fricking tickets to see The National... :nono

Sadly I won't be able to watch it unfold. I'm leaving in a few min and this will be done before I get home.

Why? A straight set win for Roger would knock DP out, no?

There will be three players with two wins, it will be sets that decide it then.
