I mentioned this earlier but after seeing how Novak is playing now it seems pretty evident he's swinging a lot more freely without the pressure of year end number 1 to contend with. Now his goal is to munch up this tournament.

You think he's savoring a chance to meet Ralf in the final?

I hope sure hope so! Revenge is a dish best served cold. Rafa can provide the cold ham he sliced today, just make sure he wipes the blood off first.

Ah Rafa wouldn't stand a chance against Novak if they meet in the final. There's hardly any point in playing it... :snigger

Monstrous ROS there by Novak!

Yes, just after I thought his level was dropping. Good!

Yeah. Started mumbling to himself and then hits that next service winner. Unreal.

No, folks that ain't going to happen. Rafa will be thrown out by Fed in semis.
Then with that confidence, Fed will win over Djoker in the final to get his n^th
WTF trophy.

Third time is the charm. Fed has already lost twice to Novak.

Front, I know you were there, but are all the gimmicks and lights and music not a distraction to the players when they sit down?

The problem is, how is Delpo going to win against Novak when probably %90 of his backhands are cross-court. If you can't play the occasional DTL backhand to open up Nole's backhand, you have really little chance against him...Even when you CAN do that it is not guaranteed.

That's right. He seems unable to even float one down the line...

Novak's playing unreal so I doubt it. If you allow yourself to be distracted you're not a pro player. Novak looks totally in the zone. The camera that zooms across the arena and stops at random points to put spectators on the big screen is kinda cool but they only do it after points are over. All in all I doubt it.

Well whenever Fed next plays Djokovic he better stop hitting so often to his BH. Bad strategy last match :nono

Oh, professional players get distracted all the time - that's why the umpire says "quiet please" and "no flash photography."

Is the music very loud in the hall? I imagine if I'm DP facing a Nole in this mood, I might want some quiet at the change of ends. I've been at the US Open and they play music and show celebs on the screen, but it's outdoor and might feel less claustrophobic. Or maybe that's just me!

Sloppy game really. It feels like DP is invisable, yet he is 4 -2 up.

It's almost like DP's policy is to wear out the Djoker backhand. He seems almost allergic to giving him a shot on his weaker wing...
