BTW Roger Federer sent Thanasi a message after he won his first match. So I read, they were a good junior doubles pair, also good friends.

Oh, I know, we can't stop bemoaning that portion of Fed's career and choices. I still don't believe that Roger made no effort at training, even though he has always seemed a bit casual about it. If he really did, bad on him, especially if he was that arrogant about his body at 35. He's also had back issues prior, so who knows what would have happened, anyway. My POINT was that Fed fans, like yourself and Darth, amongst others laid the 5-setter v. Tiafoe solely down to his back, and rather slagged off Tiafoe as too much of an also-ran to have otherwise done that well. What I'm saying is that Tiafoe, by giving Novak a run for his money yesterday, rather proves that he's not just a patsy to an elite player having a bad day.Well to be fair he injured himself playing Montreal 2017 with no match play prior coming straight from holiday/vacation whatever people wish to call it and entered the USO carrying a back injury. So yeah, it had a big impact on his USO and probably hands down one of the dumbest scheduling moves of his career.
The potential 4th Round between Tsitsipas/Khachanov or Tsitsipas/Berrettini will be very interesting to see. Tsitsipas needs to up his level if he wants to win those potential matchupsLet's face it, if Kokkinakis could take down Tsitsipas after being nowhere since forever, that would be a terrible outcome for Stefanos and all of his fans, and potentially tennis. I want to see Kokkinakis come back, but not so much today.
I dont think that will happen,if it happen well all Kudos to him,I dont see your point that it would be a terrible outcome for Stefanos and his fans and tennis at all?????????????????there have been upsets in tennis at GS.Let's face it, if Kokkinakis could take down Tsitsipas after being nowhere since forever, that would be a terrible outcome for Stefanos and all of his fans, and potentially tennis. Perhaps an exaggeration, but I want Stefanos to be a real contender. I don't want to see him get upset early. If these Gen-Xers/whatever can't put serious claims on Majors, back-to-back, then we're going back to the Wild West when the Big 3 are over. And the Big 3 also won't be over anytime soon.I dont think that will happen,if it happen well all Kudos to him,I dont see your point that it would be a terrible outcome for Stefanos and his fans and tennis at all?????????????????there have been upsets in tennis at GS.
Quite frankly I didnt' believe you said that? I am also a fan of other players but if they can beat, they were beaten by a better player on the day.,regardless if they are Gen-Xers/whatever.Perhaps an exaggeration, but I want Stefanos to be a real contender.
