I think a lesson learnt for players when they are preparing for the AO, the first GS of the year is to Not Over Play
There was no need for Rybakina to play Brisbane which she won in a canter and then to play Adelaide?
Iga played too many matches in singles and doubles at the United Cup for Poland
Gauff was the smartest player playing a smaller tournament in Auckland with No Big Name Players and got the match play she needed while winning the tournament.
Jess Pegula looked out of sorts to me when she was playing United Cup for USA, they were the defending champions, I was not surprised when she went out early in the AO

One of these players will reach the final,
Noskova
Svitolina
Golubic
Azarenka
Yastremska
Paolini
Kalinskaya
Dodin
Zheng
Azarenka two times champ is the only GS finalist in this list!
I'd put $ on Vika or Zheng. Really no matter. The winner is coming from the other half anyway.

Zheng was lucky to win her match yesterday, Vika has been playing good ball.
Yes Vikas has been playing good ball, but she can sometimes lose to random players.I want to see a good final not a one sided ballbasher fest.
I am glad that Iga lost because her game is not enjoyable to watch, and sometimes uses unpleasant tactics.Noskova is my favorite right now win or lose

Well I like Iga, on a HC with big hitters can be outed, hey I can name you heaps of players on the WTA tour that use unpleasant tactics
Osta, Yastremska, just for starters, lets see if Noskova can go on with it, to me her movement can be exposed for starters, she plays Svitolina next, and she will be tested movement wise, I prefer a player with variety in their game, also Blinkova after beating Rybakina, lost to Jasmine in straight sets?
Like it or not it is Saba's tournament to lose I feel, also she can play at the net she is also a GS doubles champion.
Of course I picked Rybakina to win, though the hex of winning at Brisbane brought her undone and also playing straight after at Adelaide? Dumb just Dumb

You know that Krejcekova is on Saba's side of the draw, and they have had some fun matches. The Czech is capable of catching fire from nowhere and beat Saba easily.

Babs is lucky to still be in the draw she nearly went out in the 1st round, lets see what happens as the draw progresses, there could be a surprise result as some of the top 10 seeds have gone.Coco has received a favorable draw, though is yet to be really tested., she could meet Saba in the SF and is a player that can defeat Saba

Gauff and Frech on court first meeting just a couples of games, I cant see Frech having any weapons that can upset Gauff, Frech lost her opening service game
Total domination of the 1st set from Coco controlling the baseline and staying aggressive, wins 61
Coco Gauff through with ease to the QFs 61 62 well done Coco

Who is next after this match on the women 's side. This was an underwhelming match to say the least. These on court interviews are just awful, and they ask silly questions can we have Casey Dallequa at least she ask intelligent questions.

I had Swiatek going out the next round to Svitolina. Wasn't feeling her for this one. Just catching up with all the upsets. Anyway, Coco won!

If Iga survived I think she would have defeated Elina

Anisimova is looking so much older than her age,and looks like she had a baby during her time off.... seriously
