The most pleasing result so far has been Amanda Anisimova defeating Paula Badosa, it was a tight match and Amanda had stomach issues and called the trainer after she won the 1st set 75 though she held on tough, after having a break from tennis, and won 75 64, loved seeing 'that backhand again' Well done Amanda!

Maybe the 'routing that Rybakina' gave Saba in the final of Brisbane was a 'huge wake up call' as I have said time and time again she is the one player in the top 10 that has the game to blow anyone off the court, lets see how she progresses, as the defending champion she is making a statement so far in the tournament, defeating (28) seed Tsurenko with 2 bagels

I thought Coco Gauff would have to much experience and overall game for Parks, Coco has been working on her serve in the off season, and has had a couple of training sessions with Andy Roddick, I have noticed her ball toss has been tweaked, which is the most important component of your serve to start with. Also Coco is defending her fhand wing better this year so far, which is a good sign
I am happy that Parks has got a coach, she has a good serve, though she was all over the court and at times she didnt know what shot to use, or then she would over play.
Solid win Coco 60 62!

This youngster has 'no fear' Andreeva was down 1-5 in the final set against Parry and forces her way back to be 5 all in the 3rd set
For a 16 yo I am calling her 'the chess player, she anticipates well, has a great bhand and can volley, uses all the dimensions of the court
Mirra Andreeva will now serve for the match against Parry down 1-5 finals set, serving at 6-5
Nerves shown for the 1st time in the match from Andreeva it has been a long way back for her TB for the final set
Take a Bow Andreeva winning 1`6 61` 10-5 you were down 1-5 in the final set and fought your way back you get to play another day
Well done!

Mira 'Miracle' Andreeva is the fourth player in the last 30 years to reach the Women's Singles Fourth Round before turning 17 at both Wimbledon and the AO after Martina Hingis, Tatiana Golovin and Coco Gauff.

It was a brave showing. I was happy she won. I don’t have anything against Parry, but Andreeva’s fight was impossible to ignore or not admire.

Alize Cornet has tweeted this will be her last AO, I thought she would retire in 2023, she did receive a reciprocal WC to enter the AO main draw in 2024

I hope that Anisimova will not withdraw after what happened during her match against Badosa.
I hope Timofeeva wins
Andreeva is on fire but Nonna might want this more.
Gauff might win since she has abandoned doubles.

Tossip,
Regarding Amanda she did have the trainer out after she won the 1st set, I hope it is not a 'abdominal issue' though her serve was okay in the 2nd set she will need her serve giving her free points, against Saba, for starters, who is 'on fire' at present.
From the start I said Gauff has a good draw
It will be interesting to see how far Timofeeva and Andreeva go,

Really good TB between Stephens v Kalinskaya. Sloane saving 4 SP, taking the ball on with more aggression and some good fhand winners, Kalinskaya has a very good fhand and was also committed to taking the ball on, just thought at the end, Sloanes experience shone through.
Stephens 76 (10) 1st set
After a really competitive 1st set, things have gone 'pear shaped' for Sloane, her footwork is lagging behind, her shots are all over the place, while Kalinskaya has turned up the pace on her ball and is playing with confidence she leads 5-0 lets see if Sloane can manage to get on the SB
Kayinskaya 2nd set 61, not many long rallies in the 2nd set, we are going 3, unless Sloane starts moving her feet for starters this match is over for her.

Yep at least she is moving her feet in the 3rd set and has been more aggressive, Skaya just broke Sloane and will serve for the match 5-4
Sloane 1/11 BP and Skaya 3/11 on BPs in the match
