It's a pity Rybakina is gone, I really like her, and she got so close today. I think she'd have improved if she'd made it through...
I had her winning the title lol! honestly the 1st GS of the year is the toughest to pick

It's her own fault. I don't know how many times the girl had the match on her racquet and she kept going for the lines w/ no margin.
The Brisbane curse continues...

Sloane looks like she's put on weight she doesn't need...what's up with that?
She has put on some, but that was actually last year and we talked about it back then. Add to the fact that her kits are unflattering and she doesn't show well on the tube.

Also wearing white dosent flatter her at all, you have to be really slim to wear white, the dress was too tight fitting around the waist for Sloane

BTW No 1 seeds Gauff and Pegula have pulled out of the doubles, after Pegula's shocker of a loss in singles
If Gauff wants to go deep at the AO I think this is a wise decision

Now, you can follow it up with the longest tiebreak of womens grand slam history, but does it play outside of AU ?

I saw the score this morning and noticed the tiebreak, but didn’t know it was the longest one ever. Thanks for posting the video!

not sure but it may go down as the longest ever tie-break - certainly in grand slams, for both men and women tennis competition... I'll try and find out then i'll confirm it here.

one commentator said, during that 42-point tiebreak, that once the match was completed and finished, that they should cancel all subsequent matches for the rest of the championships !!!! It will go down as a one-in-a-lifetime tennis contest.

Andrea Petkovic said that about halfway through. (I just finished watching it.)

What a battle, especially Blinkova who kept raising her level towards the end. She definitely deserved to win it.

I checked the records, and this was the longest singles-match tiebreak ever — men or women — in grand slam. (The previous record was 20-18, which happened a few times.)

Here’s Blinkova after the match:

I don't want to "fat-shame" anyone, but I was just surprised. I actually think she's a gorgeous woman. But she's a professional athlete, and, if we're going to talk about Wawinka's weight, and "man-boobs," we can ask if Sloane is carrying more weight than she should. Anyway, she won, so good for her. I had her on my "sell" list.
