I guess she is ready to make bank.I am happy that she is putting herself out there, and she is in the second round in singles. Her ranking has to improve so that she gets into big events without begging for a WC.
Well she is a valuable doubles player, and I am glad Jamie Murray got in touch with her to play mixed doubles as he is a very experienced doubles player on the tour and always plays mixed doubles in GS events. Playing doubles does help your single play, hopefully she can get her ranking up,to be able to play tournaments going forward this year without seeding a WC

Taylor Townsend WC 1st set 61 over #19 E. Alexandrova
She was playing really good tennis and missed a few balls, this is a good start to the season .I hope she enters some tournaments even if she has to play qualies. Taylor is so talented and deserve to be in the top twenty.

Just got home from the dentist and saw the final score in her match against 19# seed Alexandrova , lost in 3 sets, though she can take a lot of positives from the match

I am not surprised Ons has been defeated, to start with she was coming into this major with a lower back injury, she sustained that injury in the tournament in Adelaide, just before the AO, her first round match at the AO, she was pushed, really had to deep dip.It is a shame that the No 2 seed is gone, hopefully her back will improve.Vondrousova is a tricky opponent at the best of times

Jabeur looked lethargic, and the seeds are now dropping out of the tournament.I want to see new players in the last weekend.I am tired of the usual suspects, just hoping for new fresh winners.I am tired of Swiatek Sakkari Saba,I want to see an unknown winning this thing.

I think it would be good for the WTA tour, at this year's AO, if there was a new fresh winner, there are players left that have the ability to win.
