Oh, I'm not saying there weren't some successes, but for the most part on Nat'l TV I just can't remember seeing him besides maybe a DC pic! :-)2
Well when the name Mark Edmondson comes up to me I can only remember his AO title.

TC crew is calling Evans v. FAA for Evans. A very under-the-radar match is DeMinaur v. Andújar. Aussies will be behind Alex, but he's been unreliable of late. Great opportunity for either. Maxime Cressy plays Aussie wc O'Connell. Cressy is coming into his own and I hope he wins because then he would probably play Meddie. Cressy is a big S&V guy, plus he's 6'6", same as Medvedev. Could be an entertaining match, should we get it.

Paire v. Tsitsipas could be good, depending on which Benoit shows up. He seems to have switched into "I really care" mode, and Steph had the recent surgery. Upset potential?

you'd think the atp players council would want an end to sillytime late night endings..

nadals match was late but mannarino went on to oblong o'clock. :sleep2:

I don't know how you change that. Stop after a certain hour and come back the next day? Then they sacrifice the day off, as in a rain delay. I wonder if the players would prefer that, or just to play it out, and rest the next day. Late night matches have long been a feature of the AO and the USO, as they have lights. Tennis timing is open-ended. All you have is tie-breaks to stop the bleed. And I notice that some here are still against the 5th set ones.

On tc, they said that he says he has a superstition about bageling a player: he says that you'll lose the next set. We shall see. But this is a different Fritz, and he could very much win this match.

Okay...I thought that Bautista Agut on a HC may have the edge

And see? 2-0 RBA in the 2nd. Fritz should be cautious of believing his own superstitions.

Rafa on the practice courts and sweating badly in the warm Melbourne sun.

Fritz should give up his superstition about bageling an opponent. It can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
