Impressive win from FAA! He is now reached the second week of a slam in three straight slams. He is awaiting for the winner of Rublev-Cilic tonight.

Let's see if Sinner follows through...

We could have some potential interesting QFs matches in my opinion if these players make it in the next couple of days

Monfils/Matteo
Nadal/Zverev
Sinner/Tsitsipas
FAA/Medvedev

I'll tell you one thing, for anyone who thinks that Rafa's tennis is "ugly", don't come on here and tell me you love Medvedev's game. He has no reluctance to look "ugly" when he plays an awkward shot and wins it. :good:
Looks like Medvedev's becoming your favourite, Moxie. I must admit I also like the guy: the way he handled hostile crowd 2 days ago and classy interviews he gave then and today. This tells alot about his intelligence off court. And that's good news for me: the de facto #1 ranked player (soon to be on paper) is actually a nice personality and a decent IQ. He deserves to take over Fedals position who are (almost) done. After a long overdue removal of narcissism on the top of man's game (the narcissist collapses in his other "court" battles, maybe he forgot the difference:face-with-tears-of-joy:) we finally have a worthy athlete on the court we are watching here.

Marin too good today, vintage USO 14 stuff, slamming every ball he can and most of it is going in. He could have done it in 3 sets.
So Cough Drop pulled some haymakers from out of the files on this one.

I do like Medvedev, but I already have a favorite. :-)2

So, the 4th Round Matches are set:

Kecmanovic-Monfils
PCB-Berrettini
Shapovalov-Zverev
Nadal-Mannarino

De-Minaur-Sinner
Fritz-Tsitsipas
FAA-Cilic
Cressey-Medvedev

The Nadal and Medvedev matches are the only matches I can see it can go "straight-forward" The other ones are very interesting to watch

Rublev looked like a weak kid compared to Cilic shots. Russian was totally overpowered. If Cilic plays nearly like this next match, FAA will be blown off the court too.

Yup, FAA needs to be careful because Cilic can blow you off the court, dilithium crystals level.

I am over The Young Greek just getting 'coaching violations' he just looked at the umpire in his match yesterday with Hey Me?
His father was on the cam they use at the AO with the same old tactics.,many times in the match
Give him a point penalty that will stop this rubbish.

I was thinking that Cressy's net play might make for an entertaining match, but he's very new to playing at this level, and Medvedev is definitely on a mission, so Maxime might just get passed off the court in no time at all.

I cant see Cressy making an indent in Medevev's game at all,I watched him play our young Aussie WC yesterday..

To me Monfils has been playing under the radar so far in this tournament
Have been impressed with his play and Concentration, yes that is a new word when you mention Monfils
Of course having posted this on Monfils....he might just make a liar out of me:)

He said himself how he enjoys on a court again and it translates to positive results. He knows he doesn't have many good years left and might as well make the best out of it. He should reach QF and even semis are not out of reach.
