Finally won it. He is going to be spent for tomorrow though, 3 hours and 40 minutes!

He actually finishes ahead of Stan? I guess I shouldn't be too surprised since Stan did nothing aside from USO this year. Pretty sad year overall aside from the top 2. Roger playing like a clown all year would've finished top 3

He was injured.

There is no guarantee Roger will ever get back into the top 3, he should finish higher next year than this year if he stays healthy

If he plays remotely well he will be back in top 3. It doesn't take much in today's ATP if we are being honest.

Despite his loss today, I am very content with what Milos has shown here this week. He did not come in like a place holder in the top 8, he had two solid wins over Monfils and Thiem and played toe to toe with the top 2 guys in the world.
And he will be rewarded for his best year on tour with either a 3 ranking or 4 (if Nishikori wins the whole event).
I still think there is room to improve and in line with the general trend that players peak in their late twenties now, his best is still yet to come.

That is your opinion, but I am not sure if you are right. I predict for Roger a top 8 finish next year, but not a top 3.

It depends on if he is ever truly going to be fully recovered from his injury. If he is healthy and ready to go he should be top 3 unless one of the new guns suddenly steps up big which seems unlikely.

Well, it's for all the marbles tomorrow. Did someone say that #1 and #2 have never played the YEC's final for the #1 spot before? Djokovic looked crisp today, and Murray's bound to be tired. I'd like to see Andy win it, but I don't believe he beats an A-level Novak. I guess we'll see if Nole is all the way back, or if Andy has found a new level.
