No, actually you've made that quite clear, and it accounts for your unfair assessments and hysterical posts. My bad was trying to get "reasonable" out of you. I won't try again.

Honey, I had you on ignore for ages! I couldn't GAF if you speak to me or not! I decided to be nice and actually have some banter with you, but unfortunately you're too busy judging my taste in players! Get over yourself! Rafa's an self-entitled arse and always was going back to when he was 15! Screw him and Uncle Tony!

I agree if they met in these 2 years you mentioned, the current stat would be different. And yes its "what-if", but most likely.

My point was how it looks like when both are top, and the truth is my post to which you have replied.

So many of the matches they've played between 2014 and 2016, Nadal was hardly on top. He was going through the worst spell of his career and that's when Novak really swung the H2H. It's a fact. There's zero doubt Novak is simply a better player on hards, even when they're both at their best, but he racked up quite a few wins against Nadal when Rafa was in shambles...including of course, his only ever win vs. Nadal at the French Open, but that's a different topic.

The delusions are still rampant with Rafa fans! The Nadal family must love you guys making excuses for him around the clock! It's pathetic of course! Just because he didn't win 2 FO's, those must have been down years and any wins against him in 2015 & '16 shouldn't count! OMG, please help us!

I agree with you mostly. Also did Nadal got wins over Novak when he wasnt at his best.
Thx you for your 4. sentence, not many Nadalfans are capable of that. By the way your special friend AP did it also.
the HC-skills between the two are the only "fact" i was pointing out in my post.

Did I say they shouldn't count? I said he was going through his 2 worst seasons on tour. That's a fact. Look at his results. Or are you seriously denying that? And yes, you definitely need help though I believe not much can be done at this point.

I didn't say your point was wrong. I just fleshed it out a bit. ;-):

I know. You told me. And yet you keep responding to me. Perhaps you should speak to the admins, because I think your "ignore" feature is broken.

Usually the people who are not able to talk more then one language are the ones who likes to critic others without any reason and logic because they confuse the accent with the fluid talk which clearly show they are very ignorant. Novak has a strong accent when he talks in english and french but he talks fluid those languages, Rafa the same with the english and by the way he is talking more and more french and of course with a strong accent

I have really never understood people making a big deal out of Rafa's "quirky" English, (which it is,) and comparing Roger and Novak's language abilities. As I said above, they are famous for their tennis, not as linguists. Also, people forget that Rafa spoke essentially no English with confidence when he won his first Major. In addition to improving his tennis, he studied assiduously to improve his English whilst becoming an elite-level tennis superstar. He needed to be able to conduct interviews in English, and now he can. It's a real accomplishment. No one around here plays tennis as well as Rafa, and I'd argue that neither have most learned a 2nd (or 3rd, in his case) language as adults, especially to Nadal's proficiency, so folks need to get over themselves on that.

I would just like to add learning English is difficult.English language has a lot of 'slang' compared to say French,Italian and Spainish.I can say that seeing I had to learn English and comprehend it,also to write English.

I think they should merge the ATP cup and DC into a single event.

There should only be eight teams at the end and all matches should be in the same or nearby venues as was done in ATP cup. Restricting to eight would mean that the event can be finished in just a week like most other events.

The four semifinalists should get an automatic berth in next years event. To determine the other four, we should do a Davis cup style play offs starting with 32 teams. After three rounds, four teams would be left which should join the final event. The three rounds should happen at three different points of time as was done before in DC (first round just before IW, second round right after Wimbledon, and third round right after USO).

Finally, the event with eight teams should happen in the week after WTF and not in the first week of the year.
Not a bad proposal. Doesn't this make it rather still the DC, though? I suppose some rules would be combined. In any case, I agree that they should figure a way to combine them, rather than have 2, a month apart. Silly.

English is consider a simple language to learn the basics of, because our grammar is rather modern and streamlined, but it considered one of the more difficult languages to master, because not just of "slang," which all languages have...but that it's full of "idiomatic expressions," which have to be learned. The Romance languages have lots of rules and tenses, but they follow them. Our future tense is merely "will"+infinitive. Easy. However, think of the verb "to get." Then think of the difference between: get in (enter) and get into (involve yourself in something); get up (climb) and get up on (climb or inform oneself); get out of (escape); get around (evade); get-away (noun - holiday) and get away from (avoid.) This is where English starts to become difficult, and that's the start. Never even mind the spelling. While Nadal has an accent and makes mistakes, he has a fluent grasp of the language, speaking and comprehending, and that is no small thing.

PS: Sorry for the nerdy language digression.

I was going to put this on a World Affairs thread, but since we're on Australia here, and language: the news about the fires in Oz and their ramifications is horrifying. And I really do hope all of our friends there are safe, and this news is completely heartbreaking every day. But today I heard a local man down there, who was working on trying to keep the fires at bay to save his own home, and he said he was "busier than a blue-eyed fly." It was the most hilarious and colorful expression, and I have no idea what that could mean, other than that it sounds really good in an Aussie accent. Can any of our Aussie friends illuminate?

Are you sure it wasn't Blue-Arsed Fly?

I cannot be sure. If that's an expression, please explain, because that's a good one, too. My English friends use the expression "cannot be arsed," and for years I thought they were saying "cannot be asked," so apparently there's a sanitizer filter on my hearing. LOL.

It's British slang for running around and being mad busy.
