my two favorite players so when they play, it's mixed as i would rather have both win. It's discouraging to watch Nadal playing so well, knowing Djoker could straight set him if Djoker plays his best, it's a bad matchup. In 2011, Nadal was at his best but Djoker was at a level Nadal simply couldn't match. Rafa had a tremendous 2010 season and started 2011 ready to dominate but Nole beat him in 6 straight finals (IW, Miami, Rome, madrid, Wimbledon, US Open).

Rafa is playing extremely well, i would say highest level on hardcourt since his 2010 US Open win when he served lights out. There are two keys to this match - Nadal's serve and Nadal's down the line fh. If Nadal serves really well and gets free points or is able to play first strike after weak returns, he has a good shot. He will also need to be strong down the line with his fh as the pattern of going to Nole's bh is disastrous for Rafa, at least in the past. Without serving REALLY well and without a strong down the line fh, Nadal is basically helpless against an in form Djoker. If Djoker brings his best, i see it as an almost impossible task unless Rafa does these two things really well.

Djoker isn’t 2011 level so that would be a good start for Nadal but it was weird that he was notches above Rafa on all surfaces so suddenly, coming off a great 2010 from Rafa.

I just hope it won’t be another 2012 slugfest of war of attrition. Some see it as classic but apart from two players pushing themselves to their physical limits it was not great tennis.....as evidenced by the fact that there were too many 20 plus shot rallies, which clearly indicate that they were poor shot-making to allow it to happen. Watch in form Fed or Wawrinka (or even formerly Nalbandian, Safin etc) against anyone, they’d punch through with lots of winners...few rallies were very long but it’s a good mix; who needs to see the woos and ahhs of long point after long point and essentially fans need to sit for six hours to watch similar pattern of rallies.

Put simply, in most of their matches in the past it was too much about “let’s get one more back”, too much about defence than effective enough offence. Smart fans do not prefer repetitive rallies.

Well, you always have to have someone to lower the tone of the conversation. We need a dislike button for posts like this.
Let’s chuck in something different into the rallies shall we? Btw am looking for ‘disgust’ button

From seeing all your previous messages to other people (which I felt like responding to because I think you have a disgusting attitude towards other people but decided not to because I know that all people who challenge you get is a pile of abuse) I should have known better than to expect you to realise how disgusting & uncalled for your comments are. I'm looking for the hate button & I can say that I don't just hate your post, I absolutely detest your attitude & I'm not a nasty person.

Oh ok, I take it that you teach in primary school? A little preaching on sundays is so refreshing, thank you so much.

That's another reason why the Australian Open should be moved to March/April.
Not a bad idea at all. Move the Asian swing to jan/April and move those American tourneys to the fall and the usopen back (and away from NY?). It would be a better spread of slams instead of having 3 of them in the course of 4 months.

I don't see why out of NY, esp. with the big tennis center and new roof, but a bit later would be better for heat and hurricanes.

You would know better than I. Nothing against any but agenda wise it would be better to have the slam late November
