Hopefully this match improves, each player trying to hold their service games and getting broken, isnt my idea of a clean match

Iga is committing too many UFE for starters and she hasnt found her range, the fast hard courts do not suit her style of play, Arnya on the other hand, just feeds off the pace on a fast hard court

Aryna serving for the 1st set, 5-3, playing well, except for the blip on her early service game when she got broken

A love service game from Aryna and she wins the 1st set 63
Lets see how and if Iga responds in the 2nd set, she needs cut down on her UFE for starters, she is getting rushed by Aryna on this faster court

I hope we do not get wet weather arriving , they are having to dry the lines at present due to them being wet

Play has started in the 2nd set with Iga serving, she held serve, despite stoppage to dry the wet lines again!

Aryna breaks and has just consolidated the break and leads 3-1 2nd set
I cant see Iga coming back from this, fast HC are not her cup of tea, she dosent like to be rushed on her ground shots for starters and Aryna's hard flat shots are too much for Iga to handle

Another break of serve to Aryna she is like a Steam Train Full Speed Ahead and leads 4-1 2nd set out playing Iga full stop
Again consolidates the break and leads 5-1 2nd set

Aryna will serve for the match 5-2 an impressive match from Aryna her game suits the fast hard court at Cinncy to a tee and quite frankly I dont know if Badosa or Pegula has the weapons to upset Aryna on this court, except if she has 'one of those days' and implodes :) we have seen that from her in the past and the present

Aryna breaks back and wins the match 63 63 over Iga
Apart from the blip at the first attempt to serve out the match she was impressive and is the first player through to the final!
BTW I read that the courts at the USO will be 'medium fast' I will believe that when I see that lol!, to me Cinncy in the USA is faster than than the USO
9th WTA 1000 final,
4th Top Ten win of the year
Most impressive point for Aryna in the match was her return game, on point!
Aryna won 24 of 30 2nd serve return points
We wont talk about the 10 MPs she needed to win the match will we? lol!
Aryna will move to the No 2 ranking when the new rankings come out next week

Play in Cincinnati has been suspended due to rain'

In the 2nd SF Pegula won the 1st set 62 over Badosa and they were on serve early in the 2nd set

She's a fave even if she doesn't get this title. The girl made it to the final last year and was a few games away from the title. I would even rank her above Iga on this fast HC. I know they played there before and Iga won a tight 3 setter, but that was before Saba fixed her serve and won Oz
Who is your pick for the Open?

Umm, somebody, mainly Iga pissed Kafelnikov off
Seeing we are in a rain delay at present in the 2nd SF Pegula v Badosa
Iga also complained in her interview on court regarding how long the tour has begun with the tournaments etc, after her match with Mirra Andreevs, actually Chris Evert came out and sided with Iga regarding the amount of tournaments on the tour at present
Of course it will be longer for the top players that make finals at 500s and 1000's events which are mandatory also making finals at GS events
Actually I did some digging and found Mandatory tournaments for a top player ( 2019) I dont think it has been upgraded, when I have the time I will investigate further

Who is your pick for the Open?
I'm going to take the safe pick, and go with the player that made the last 2 slam finals: Jasmine Paolini. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if someone off the grid actually wins the US Open.

I thnk you need to watch Saba? Jazz hasnt the weapons against Saba for starers, eg Jazz return game? Saba made the USO final last year and lost in 3 sets, she has the game in a fast HC
If you watched Saba today she took Iga off the court with her return game on her 2nd serves!
Even if Saba dosent win the title at Cinncy she is one of the favs going into the USO and now she will be ranked at the No 2 seed.,which will help her cause
I would also say Rybakina her game suits fast HC, though to me she has a question mark over her at this point in time
