I think the long 3 set matches Muchova had in the tournament finally taking their toll in the final sad to say
Zheng breaks early in the 3rd set and consolidates, leads 3-0, credit to Zheng has played well, she is also the defending champion
There is still the fight in Muchova as she breaks the serve of Zheng? can she consolidate? no she cant and Zheng breaks straight back and leads 4-2 3rd set

Apparently Genie Bouchard who has gone to 'the dark side' playing Pickleball tournaments in 2024 has been granted a WC in qualies for the up coming WTA1000 Toronto tournament, which starts after the Olympic games. Interesting to see if she takes up the WC

Bianca Andresscu, Naomi Osaka have received main draw WC in Toronto, remaining spots will be given to Rebecca Marino and Maria Stakusic

The WTA tournament in Palermo ( where I was born), organizers had to sell their license.The main reason is the devaluation of the 250s tournaments operated by the WTA. The organizers are full of obligations towards the WTA but receive nothing in return.In a reality that moves for business and supported by investment funds, the 250s have no future, tournament director told Girornale di Sicilia
Word is that the Translyvania Open organizers have brought the license.

She says she has still a lot of pain in knee, but says she will continue to play with it regardless? apparently she dosent want to listen to her body, now with this shoulder injury just before WAT1000 Toronto, her husband is her fitness trainer, for the life of me why cant he talk some common sense into his wife,?
