This isnt good news for the WTA Tour,

During meetings in London, the ATP Board have decided to have ball kids after Wimbledon ends to handle players towels again
Seeing there are 3 up coming shared tournaments with the ATP, DC, Canada, Cinncy to name 3,,the WTA tour will basically have to go along with this whether they like it or not!

I know and the WTA will have to go along with it, here in Sydney we have just had a out break of COVID it hasnt gone away, there is a new strain going around, I was called into emergency to help out the other day

Erin Routliffe has captured the WTA World No 1 doubles ranking for the first times in her career,becoming the first woman from New Zealand to reach the elite position.Erin comfirmed her rise to the top by reaching the doubles final at Wimbledon with partner Gabriela Dabrowski. which marked her second doubles Grand Slam Finals within the last 12 months having won the USO in 2023.
Also dont forget Miss Lulu Sun also from New Zealand who was a quailfer at Wimbledon this year, the surprise packet of the singles tournament!

Palermo Ladies Open ( Clay) WTA 250 ( also the home of my birth many, many moons ago) a few other clay tournaments for players to get their clay feet back before Olympics start at RG
Top seed, Zheng, who was knocked out early at Wombledon
WC is one of my fav players to watch Karolina Muchova, hoping that her wrist behaves itself, I feel the reason she felt soreness was a factor that she hasnt played a tennis match for sometime

Okay Insane TB for the 1st set between Muchova v Polish player Kawa, Muchova down 0-4 in the 1st set, fought back to force a TB for the 1st set and won it 76(14) !
Muchova finding her game in the 2nd set leading Kawa oh just retired down 1-5 2nd set
Mucova WC and 2nd seed wins via retirment 76(14) 5-1

Matches have been suspended today Tuesday 16th July at the Palermo WTA250 tournament, a few matches were concluded
Match between Rus (5) v Trevisan are back on court, warming up. Trevisan won the 1st set 76(5)
Rus was serving for the 2nd set 5-4 before the match was suspended won it 64, going 3, Rus (5) d Trevisan 67(5) 64 62
The 2 other matches that were suspended have restarted,
No 1 seed Zheng defeats a very tricky opponent in Sara Errani 63 62

USO Women's singles entry list is out,
Raducanu made it. Osaka is 6 out, so will likely still enter directly ( using her special PR), if she cant use her special PR, she can receive a wild card being a former champion.
Andreescu and Kerber, both former champs, will need WCs, they will receive wild cards.
