Just looking at Bad Homburg Open tournament which is now a WTA500 event for the first time in 2024

2.Luidmila Samsonova ranking 15
3. Emma Navarro ranking 17
4. B.Haddad Maia ranking 18
5. Victoria Azarenka ranking 19 note Azarenka has made the SF at Berlin? if she makes the final I wonder if she will still play

Gee I had a Nanna Nap after Jannik won and just woke up to find she had lost in 3 sets to Aussie Tomljanovic 16 63 62
Miss Lil Bit just have to play a very clean game (low UFEs) to win because she has zero weapons but have great hands around the net.

Ons asked for the trainer before the TB, after the TB Ons was getting her temperature checked by the trainer
Ons Jabeur retired in her match against Gauff
Gauff wins via retirement 76(9) and will move into the SFs

Ons is now Gauff's pigeon and maybe also bailing out because of the weather.Dropshots don't work on Coco because she is very fast.

Ons did look sick, asked for the trainer before the TB, apparently has a high temp,I thought it might have been her knee again, also maybe protecting herself going into Wimbledon soon
Berlin had 8 Top 10 players at the start of the week. Half of them retired sick or injured, Sabalenka, Rybakina, Vondrousova, Jabeur

In the 2nd SF at Berlin between Gauff and Pegula match was suspended due to rain Pegula won the 1st set 75 leading 3-1 in the 2nd set TB
Play is suspended in Berlin for the day
The SF match between Gauff v Pegula will have to be concluded tomorrow as the final is to be played. Kalinskya is the first player through to the final

BTW I woiuld mark Pegula as a player to watch out on the grass this year at Wimbledon, she does have a good game on grass, flat peneterating strokes, low center of gravity, also an improved serve, able to use the slice on the approach of course has good volley skills

Did this really occur like Patrick is saying it happened?

I believe that. I do remember that RG and she was very ill. Coughing and blowing her nose on all the changeovers. She played a ton of 3 set matches, but like he said. She refused to lose. And just think, had she succumbed, her last RG would have been 2013 instead of 2015.

He better not date that lazy fluke, she would infect him with her lazy fluids. He better stick to his gf that has been there all along .
Same thing I said on another page. He needs somebody who will encourage him and keep him sharp, not someone who will bring him down.

Agree, she is running out of body parts for her withdrawals,

By my count the 4th time she's had an illness this year

Dubai QFs withdrew vs Paolini
IW Did not play
Rome did not play
Berlin withdrew v Azarenka, abdominal pain
She also claim she was sick during the RG QF w/ Jaz
