Disappointing I know, though as I said before Shnaider can play on grass, she just won the Bad Homburg tournament,
I think she has mentally checked out of tennis. She is happy to make$$ a little here and little there, doing the bare minimum whilst protecting her endorsements .

Okay we have the Top Half of the draw, not many upsets yesterday in the bottom half, thank goodness!

Iga Swaitek (1) v Petra Martic, these 2 played last year at Wimby with Swiatek winning, I cant really see Martic winning this match up
Battle of the 2 British ladies Boulter v Dart, Katie whose game suits the grass and faster surfaces, should win
Siniakova (27) vs Putintseva Poots is a tricky opponent at the best of times, slices and dices,, I feel Siniakova who loves the grass will be able to get the win
Rybakina (4) vs Siegemund Rybakina wont have it all her won way in this match, Laura is no slouch on the grass
Garcia (23) vs Pera, if Caroline can again keep her focus and level she should be able to get the win against Pera.
Svitolina (21) vs Niemeier This will be a tough match for Elina as Niemeier plays well on the grass, she cant afford to drop her level, or Niemeier will get the win.
Badosa vs 17 yo Brenda Fruhvirtova who defeated the 17 yo Teen Queen, can she defeat the more expericence player in Badosa? if she can it will be another feather in her cap!
Caroline Wozniacki was impressive in her last match against Parks, who at times could not find the court, and gave her a bagel in the 2nd set, though she will find this match against Leylah Fernandez quite a battle as Leylah fights every point and dosent give in till the end of a match, this is the first time they have met, I expect a 3 set match, it will be whoever keeps their level, keeps their UFE low and focus will win this match up.

Well the first double bagel of the tournament goes to Daria Kastakina (14) over the British WC Miyazoki 60 60

Badosa proved too strong for the 17 yo Brenda Fruhvirotva 64 62

Poots continues to be a tricky opponent as she takes out Siniakova (27) who loves the grass 60 46 62

Madison Keys (12) quietly making her way through her draw with a 62 62 win over Wang

Camila Osorio retires in her match against Haddad Maia, Bea is into Wimbledon R 3

BTW there is a nasty viral illnes going around at Wimbledon at present

Jess Pegula is having one of those days, lost the 1st set to Wang 64, she will really have to dig her way out of this mess
Jess had her chances to win the 2nd set now in a TB she maybe on her way out
A real do fight in the TB with Jess winning 76(7) going 3, Jess lucky to be still in the match

In the battle of the 2 British ladies, apparently Katie and Harriet have known each other since they were 12 and cant stand each other lol!
1 set all between these 2, into the 3rd set now

Jess down a double break in the 3rd set against Wang, and her game continues to crumble, ( oh well there goes my dark horse) X. Wang now leading 5-0 this is pitiful from Jess, Jess serving to get on the board and to avoid a bagel? Jess avoids a bagel and finally gets on the board. Wang to serve for the match 5-1
No 5 seed Jess Pegula defeated by X.Wang who played a well constructed match 64 67(7) 61. Well done Wang!, first Top Ten win for Wang!

Katie Boulter down 2-5 in the 3rd set against Dart, fights back and is now 5 all
Boulter 1st set 64, Dart 2nd set 61 ( remember these 2 dont like each other )

Okay I need to get this off my chest!
Jannik there is not need to be at your GF's every match, please keep your eyes on the prize this year at Wimbledon!

Okay bit of an upset and revenge for Harriet Dart over Katie Boulter (32) winning in 3 sets 46 61 76(8)

Honestly Ons Jabeur you are already talking to the crowd about your 'dream of winning Wimbledon" stop putting undue pressure on yourself for goodness sakes, after your win today, there is a long way to go before the final, just take your match on match at a time, thanks!

Pera d Garcia 36 63 64 she will play Ostapenko in the 3rd round

Jabeur (10) v Svitolina (21) one of them will lose big points in a 3rd round match

Jabeur said in her press conference after her match she will always have knee pain and has to learn how to live with it?

Caroline Wozniacki playing good 1st set of tennis 63 over Fernandez, as I expected this match is going 3 sets, Fernandez wins the 2nd set 62

A lot of rain expected tomorrow (Friday) so they are not scheduling more than 2 matches for the outside courts

Actually it's only on hold an maybe will be played at Center Court after Murray's tribute has finished. That is what Caroline has told the Danish reporters.

But the tribute with Murray is really lasting a long time and I think they need to stop the play at Center Court at 22.00 so they are running out of time....
Curfew is at 11pm, though tomorrow the forecast is plenty of rain, and putting only 2 matches on the outside courts

Match has restarted on court 1
Caroline and Leylah 5 all 3rd set I , this is a dog fight, probably go to a TB for 3rd set and the match
Both players having back hand UFE galore
Caroline with her 3BP gets the break as Leylah has a UFE on her fhand
Caroline to serve for the match 6-5
Wozniacki d Fernandez (30) in a well fought match, Caroline saving 2 MPs, 63 26 75
Well done Caroline! their first meeting!
