Ladies QFs Bottom Half Of The Draw,

J.Paolini (7) vs E.Navvaro (19) Emma is now Darren Cahills favorite new player! H2H Navarro 3-0 all on HC. This is their first meeting on grass.

Can the super cool, cool as a cucumber Emma continue to win through to her first Wimbledon SF? quite frankly I think she can, Emma has improved her overall game this year, her net play is just one example.Emma dismantled Naomi Osaka's game, she played a wonderful tactical match against the No 2 Coco Gauff though I must say Gauff wasnt much of a threat to Emma in their match, remained stead fast in her belief she could win and she did.

Jazz Paolini has surprised herself this year on the grass, never been her best surface, she has showed at Wimbledon her game translates to all surfaces making her first QF, she cannot commit the amount of UFE on her bhand as she did in her match against Keys, who was serving for the match and picked up an adductor injury and sad to say had to retire, Jazz in ways was lucky? though luck favors the brave dosent it? win or lose that wonderful smile always comes shining through in her matches.

Miss L.Sun vs Donna Vekic,

Miss Sun a qualifer has been the 'revelation' at this yesr's Wimbledon tournament,, she becomes the first New Zealander in Wimbledon's QFs in the Open Era, she hasnt looked back since defeating the No 8 seed Zheng in her first match, she dismanlted Emma Raduncanu and blew her off the court, with 59 winners, I feel Raducanu took Miss Sun too lightly and paid the price.
Miss Sun is aggressive and won take a back ward step. Can she win a place in the SF at Wimbledon and continue this incredible run as a qualifer I beleive she can.

Donna Vekic has always loved the grass, was a runner up recently at the Bad Homburg tournament, her coach Pam Shriver knows and understands grass play, which has really benefited Vekic's belief as Donna has struggled to find her form after injuries, she toughed it out in a rain delayed match which went for 71/2 hours against Badosa in her last match, she she is one tough young woman and wont take Miss Sun lighty.
I am pulling for Sun and Jas...

I hear that Paolini and Navarro never won a match in Wimbledon before and now they are in QF. Is that true? If they can do it, funny how clay specialist Iga can't go far here.

Anyway, I will be rooting for a Vekic. We're from the same country, so...this is a golden opportunity for her to dream big and who knows. Draw really opened up in the bottom half and any of these 4 women could be in the final.

Well Iga never played a pre grass tournament this year, maybe if she had she would have been better prepared, Iga won junior Wimbledon title, though when turning pro it dosent mean you will be good on grass, her game is perfect for clay
Jazz worst surface was grass she was never comfortable on it, at Wimbledon this year it has been the first time she has had good results and finds herself in the QFs, her game really translates to all surfaces.
Donna has always loved the grass, knows how to play on it, so I would not dismiss her, she has struggled with injury, seems to have found her level at Wimbledon this year,
Emma has had more success on HC, though again found her grass legs at Wimbledon, and finds herself in the QFs

I'll stick with women. It's a good match so far.
It is and as I thought this will be a tight match, Donna is the more seasoned player, though Sun a qualifer has been a 'a surprise packet here at Wimbledon

More seasoned yes, but doesn't look like mentally stronger. She failed to capitalize on several opportunities and now got broken at first BPs at 5:5.

Donna won a rain delayed match against Badosa that went for 7 and 1/2 hours you have to mentally strong to win a match like that, a few unforced errors let her down to cause the break for Sun

Lulu is playing the big points much better and deserved the set. Dona is getting frustrated. She thinks this is a winnable match, but she will have to dig deep to win.
Well if Pam Shriver, Donna's coach, will tell Donna not to take Sun lightly, Sun can play on grass that is for sure

I cannot remember this much rain at Wimbledon, outside courts not in play at present
They will have to rename this years Wimbledon as the Indoor Wimbledon Championships in 2024 !
Can you imagine if they didnt have 2 roofs it would be utter turmoil trying to finish matches

Lulu's game fell apart and Vekic is now running away. She should remain calm and bring herself to victory.
