He also has a pretty crap backhand like Del Potro had. Sure you'll see highlights of great shots on his BH once in a while, but overall it's his weakest side by far and the reason he hasn't done better along with injury and illness.
Well if we are citing weak bhands let me introduce you to Tsitsipas:)
Matteo does shave a weak bhand, usually with weak bhands , tennis players have to run around their bhand, though his injuries have disrupted his career after he made the final of Wimbledon

And a tax cheat BTW her and her family are currently on the run and reports have surfaced she and her family are hiding out in the USO? I think you need to recheck your fav Italian player si? Flavia Panetta wasnt bad.
You completely missed the point - that a pretty face can affect objectivity. Camila is beautiful. I’d forgive her anything - the way you forgive Matteo his lousy backhand, and questionable fitness.

I understood you post regarding Camila, dont take me out of context than you very much, I understand Matteo's weakness is his bhand okay, not all players have good bhands or forehands, usually players with weak bhands learn to run around them, for starters.

The issue is not weak backhands. Hopefully Stefano’s career bests are not behind him the way Matteo’s are.

And did little to nothing to improve it. Rublev also had a poor backhand and over the last two years has gone to great lengths to make it better.

According to you Matteo has done nothing to improve it he has been sideline with injuries for starters. At least Matteo has better volley skills than Rublev? and a transition game to the net, havent seen much from Rublev in that department.

Matteo is done. Maybe fluke wasn’t the best label. Flash in the pan might be better.

Berrettini’s career best results are in his rearview mirror. I know how a pretty face can blur the lines of objectivity. My favorite Italian player, Camila Giorgi has announced her retirement. I always thought she was top ten material… :lol6:
OK, fair, it can look like star quality in a pretty face. (Ahem.) But, in fairness to Giorgi, she also has a lot of grit. (Awful father, sadly.) I'm not sure that Berrettini is done. I hope not.

You mentioned Musetti earlier...I didn't see his match, but a lot of us have been holding out hopes for him, and he might be a damp squib.

Remember Steffi Grafs father spent three years in jail for failure to pay his taxes. Unbelievable. Camila always had grit. She could be outplayed and hit off the court, but she was always fighting.

Musetti has very nice game. Like a lot of talented players, it’s the ability to press through the tough patches that makes the difference. I’ve seen him collapse so many times. I thought the baby and getting married would help him. It just seems like it hasn’t yet. Then I was watching his match yesterday and he just retired. I hope he turns it around. I really do.

In fairness, Berrettini's had little time on tour to make improvements. Every time he tries to catch back up, something buffets him back. That's bad luck. Right now, I'm sure he's hoping he can hold on to his serve and his forehand. Improvements will have to wait. Not fair to judge that.
