Good to see Lehecka at this 'level' after months off the tour ( back injury) serving for the match 5-4 against Medvedev
Lehecka d Medvedev (4) 76(2) 64
Well done Jiri!
Jiri Lehecka will play Frances Tiafoe next for a place in the QFs

What goes on with Medvedev? I didn't see the match, and credit to Lehecka, but we're back on the HCs. Meddie is 35-12 on the year, with no titles. Yes, he's still #5, but he's certainly not "trending." Have I not been paying enough attention?

Well Meddy hasnt any titles so far this year, he had a positive Wimbledon defeating Sinner, he is back on his favored surface HCs? primarily his focus, lets him down in matches ,presently he lets anything and everything get to him, when that happens his game falls apart, ,also hiring Gilles Simon to his team, quite frankly I havent see any improvement in his game at all.
Meddy has lost his opener for the 2nd straight week? He's 0-2 in USO tune ups?
Wont be a top 4 seed for the USO

The USO has just announced wild cards for the men in the upcoming USO which starts August 26th - September 8
Stan Wawrinka
Dominic Thiem
Chris Eubanks
Zachary Svajda
Learner Tien
Matthew Forbes
Alexandre Muller
Tristan Schoolkate is the Australian reciprocal WC
Matthew Forbes is a name to look out for. On the surface, I think he could do some damage either at the US Open or the 2025 Australian Open. Deep down in the subsurface, I can see him being a future slam winner and world #1.

Quite frankly I think it is too premature with any players who received wild cards into their home grands slams to predict they will be a future Grand Slam title winner let alone a future No 1 player,

Brandon Nakashima continues his solid performance so far in Cincinnati defeating Fils in straight sets 75 76(3)
Over the last 10 days Brandon has wins over Fritz, Paul, Shapo and Fils, next up for Brandon is Rublev

Play is suspended for the day
Well I noticed the playing schedule tomorrow has Alcaraz and Sinner playing in the day and Tiafoe got the night match
Lets see if it changes seeing that Alcaraz and Monfils will have to finish their match first tomorrow
Also Ruud vs FAA was scheduled their match will have to be played tomorrow

Updated schedule tomorrow Friday 16th August

Alcaraz/Monfils will finish their match play to begin not before 12.30pm
Not before 3pm,
Rune (15) will either player Monfils or Alcaraz

BTW the weather forecast for Friday, is storms on and off, could be a frustrating day for all involved

Jordan Thompson has withdrawn in his match against Jannik Sinner
Sinner gets a walkover to the QFs
BTW Happy 23rd Birthday Jannik!
Jannik will face Rublev in the QFs
Reason for Thompson's withdrawal wrist injury
