Jordan Thompson should be embarrassed with his pornstache mustache
I could have sworn he was a character in “Boogie Nights”…

Well done to Kei Nishikori d Jordan Thompson 76(5) 76 (5)

Kei said he was motivated to come back to the tour watching Novak, Rafa, and would love to play against Alcaraz and Rune
That sweet 2-hander was on full display today. I've missed it so much. If he only plays for another year or two at least I can watch that BH before he goes bye bye. :bye:

Ebony String Bean won his R1 match in Hotlanta too. Now Big Ben is on. This tourney should be called Red, White & Blue Open. There's so many US and Aussie flags in the draw w/ a sprinkling of Frenchmen.

If talking about Shelton, the #6 seed was bounced in straight sets by a qualifier from China; Shang J.! A lit'l success and they disappear! :astonished-face: :fearful-face:

Don’t know if this is the right place but has anyone listened to the Jimmy Connors podcast, Advantage Conners?

I kind of like it but listened recently to the episode where Bjorn Borg turned up, and there were interesting reminiscences in between long bouts of nostalgia, the two fogeys reminding each other that they made the modern game, that they built Indian Wells, that they built tennis, that tennis today isn’t so interesting as it was when they played, etc.

I was a little disappointed with Borg when he lowered himself to that level, but it was good to hear from him too. Example, they talked a few times about how their games were both very similar - they glossed over the significant differences - while also a few times complaining that modern greats like Rafa and Novak play too similarly to each other (again glossing over the significant differences).

Jimbo is prone to this sort of stuff in general, over-emphasising his fist pump reputation, in comparison to the modern game, which can happen to anybody who’s stuck in the past. Grandad thinks the young people’s music is just noise. Grandad also tells you that his grandad thought Frank Sinatra was a tuneless immoral punk.

It’s an interesting podcast, curious to see the great Jimmy navigating the airwaves…

Anyone watching Rublev and Zapata Miralles In Hamburg? They have been battling for nearly 2:45, and are now in a third set TB.

EDIT: Rublev wins, saving 3 MPs in the TB.
What..are you serious. I fell asleep during the first mp..what a huge choke artist ZM is . Congratulations to the Big Haired dude
