I think many non slam winners wouldn't mind being called one slam wonders! Emma also made history 1st qualifier to ever win the US Open without dropping a set ;) See how she gets on over the next 5 years or so, if she doesn't win anymore slams then maybe people calling it a fluke might be right, but I hope not...

Well I did forget those noteworthy points; straight setted the USO and was a Qualifier! I only watched a few points! It doesn't say much about the WTA to allow something like that! Add on her opponent; very embarrassing the biggest ladies' tourney to have such a weak final! :astonished-face: :shushing-face::fearful-face:

Coco Gauff wins 62 63 in a solid match and a strong serving performance, hits the fastest serve in the tournament so far 122 mph screamer she will play Amander Anisimova in the 3rd rd.
Coco seems determined and her serve is good.I noticed that everyone is going to her forehand but it's holding up well.

Coco's fhand has always been her weaker side, I agree with your thoughts at present it is holding up well

Just tuning into Ons Jabeur match against Parry. Ons 1st set 62
A more competitive 2nd set so far, Parry a Frenchwoman grew up on the clay courts, has a good slice and a solid fhand, Ons as we know has a wicked slice.
Ons broke Parry to love and leads 4-3 2nd set.Ons is just great at the net,
Ons 5-3 2nd set.
Ons breaks Parry to love to win the match
Jabeur d Parry 62 63 reaches the 4th rd.....Well done Ons.

Ons Jabeur continues her inspiring play with exceptional shots. Defeats Diane Parry (19 yo) from France 6-2 6-3 -coming top player me thinks.

Ons is my tip to win Wimbledon this year, she has a great game on the grass, her movement seams fine, after the scare earlier regarding her knee.

Help me Maria Sakkari's game Does Not Translate to Grass the No 5 seed was defeated by T.Maria 63 75 who showed her how to play on grass, with slice, volley 63 75....also Maria is a known headcase, she was ahead in the 2nd set and was serving for the 2nd set, as usual fell apart
