Seniore Matteo vs Pegasus aka the young Greek. I'm gonna piss of KELI and her female posse by picking Pegasus

LOL! Cilic PLUS FAA! That’s the worst case scenario I was thinking draw wise for Nadal.

Basically, he drew two of the top 3 dangerous players outside of Djokovic (three if you include Matteo, but you know my stance on Matteo)!

I am not to worried about Querrey or Sonego to be honest.
Agreed. While it’s true Querrey took out the defending champions in 2016 & 2017, when he ran into Rafa in 2019, he was defeated in straight sets. And Sonego? He lost in straight sets to Federer just last year.

Easy draw for Djokovic but he will lose to Hurkacz in the SF.

Difficult draw for GOATdal but usually it doesn't matter, he will find a way to win.

Does anyone know who plays on Monday?

@tented what's your thoughts on Rafa's and Novak's draw. Any thoughts on Pegasus vs Seniore Matteo in the qtrs..

trying to get all my posts in asap
It’s not a dream draw for Rafa, is it, with Cilic and Berrettini in his half. I’m not too worried about Cilic at this point, despite his occasional noteworthy results in London. Now, Berrettini is a potential problem. He’s very good on grass and has that easy power. The positive for Rafa is he would be into the second week by the time they meet, and everyone knows — even the haters — that once Rafa gets to the second week of a major, he’s extremely dangerous. I‘m not worried about Tsitsipas either. He’s shown when it comes to the really important moments, he crumbles.

Mateo is a dangerous player but I don't know what his record against the big 3 and Daniil but it CAN'T be to good. Tsitipas should have the game that could break down Seniore Matteo but Tsitipas slice is not good on grass, it doesn't stay low. E.g. Rafa had a similar issue when he added more variety to his game with the slice but he improved tremendously. Tsitipas needs to slice completely through the stroke and ball. He should go get Martina Nav to give him a couple of hours session. It's not a hard stroke to learn to master

Nadal will be alright, but I would have still preferred for Nadal to only potentially face only one of FAA or Cilic not both.
After all you just seen with AO , the hardcourt swing and RG with limited warm out yet you worried about cough drop. FAA will be a huge test for Rafa and I personally don't want that clash to happen but if it does Rafa can deal with it. Draws are meant to be competitive, and I not being hard on you but Rafa can't cherry pick. As Margaret said last month, a draw will eventually play itself out

It's a tough draw for Rafa. The most frustrating thing is if Zverev wasn't injured Djokovic would be #2 & have a tough draw for once. While Rafa at #3 would have had a nice easy walk to the final. All if's & but's I know.

Again you only know in hindsight how a draw plays out. Nadal:Sam Querry is a shell of what he used to be so not overly concerned, and Cilic by the 4th round should be tough but manageable. FAA until he actually does it in a Major to me he’s still Mr. Potential, besides after the FO expectations are high on him again and he doesn’t like that. Would not be shocked if Fritz if on upsets him.

Alcaraz has a fairly tough draw, but unlike FAA he seems to be a problem solver during his big matches. Stumbling at RG might just be what the doctor ordered for his evolving game if the elbow is OK.

The big issue on the grass is who gets upset early.

Does anyone actually expect Ruud or Tsitsipas to make it out of their quarter? Hurcaz & Berrettini
looming plus a few banana peels including Kyrgios who has already beaten Tsitsipas this grasscourt season.

Since I assumed Nadal was going to face Kyrgios, Cilic, Hurcaz & Berrettini all in a row before Novak, I’m good.

I don’t mind competitive draws, but at the end of the day, I just want an “easier” draw for Nadal so he can win titles without any stress.. Like you said, it is what it is.

To be fair to you, his draw at AO will always be tough no matter what because he has not played in 6 months prior to the tournament. In addition, he was seeded 6th in the tournament so more than likely he was getting a tough draw
