McEnroe won his championships the same way; esp. with what Bud Collins called his lefty delivery, "the can-opener!" Martina had the same advantage even though Evert was better from the ground!
Martina was streets ahead of Evert on grass, apart from her killer serve and fhand, her volley play at the net outstanding

Thanks you some people around here have poor memories regarding Martina, on grass she ruled over Evert period, her record on grass proves that.
Goffin seems an odd mention, though he's a tricky player. I'm trying to think of all the ones who have featured in this grass portion: Marcos Giron fought very hard against Tsitsipas today. Otte had some good results. Van de Zandsculp? Maxime Cressy is an S&V guy. The English guy who has come out of nowhere: Pendrick? Cam Norrie, for sure. Also out of nowhere, Cerundolo had a good grass prep. RBA beat Medvedev today. (OMG, there has to be a meme of Meddie complaining about the crowd. It was so good.) Tiafoe. I'm not saying any of these are contenders, but is there a spoiler among them?
Federer, Nadal when healthy, Novak and Sampras all moved beautifully on the grass at SW19.. I really like the newest camera when they're ground level, it really shows how these guys are like Gods playing a game that takes a lot of time to master.
What about the Englishman Draper, who has a solid game on the grass and has made the s/finals at Eastbourne
