BTW Ruud was only joking when he said his preparation on grass was playing golf, he is now practicing on the grass.
By all accounts, he is a serious golfer, though. And, also like Rafa, he says he's committed to never throwing a racquet. Good for him!

Other s/final locked in at Stuttgart

Otte vs Berrenttini, quite pleased with Matteo's form, since his long lay off, due to hand surgery

Just looking at the H2H between Murray and Kyrgios....Murray leads 5-1, however Nick did beat Murray in their most recent meeting on grass in 2018.

Hold on now...20+ years in dance, I'd like to at least be able to apply for the job. Especially as Babycakes seems to be currently short one girlfriend. ;)
You would have to pass a preliminary test with Kskate and myself if you should be considered? we both liked his former g/friend,though Matteo became a big media star in Italy, also another fact they did spend a lot of time apart

I dont know about Rafa at 2nd fav, if he does play.Matteo looked good earlier, his serve is like a rocket
Yeah, but once the rallies start, big advantage to Nadal. Matteo's backhand will get eaten alive by Nadal even on Grass. I would say Cilic is more of a threat to Nadal than Matteo because of Cilic's backhand is better than Matteo.

Lastly, I put Nadal as the 2nd favorite because of his confidence right now plus outside of Djokovic, FAA is the only player who can blast through Nadal even on a second week of Wimbledon.

I do agree if Rafa gets to the 2nd week at Wimbledon, providing he plays, he can be hard to beat, agree with your thoughts he is riding high on confidence, winning the AO and RG.
Just another thing I thought of after I posted to you, a concern for me is the low bouncing of the ball at Wimbledon, which at times has not suited Rafa.
I also put a question mark against Cilic, though the grass does suit his game, he can be 'a headcase' when he is pressured.

Good points. Rafa knows how to win Wimbledon. YES, the Big servers can appear to boss Nadal or any player but noOne is serving like Sampras or Roger. Rafa's has another level which is predicated on his ability to problem solve. These factors plus a healthy Nadal will be the determiner regardless who is on the other side of the net. Ref AO 2022 final. Peace ☮️

That eternal fountain of youth, Feli Lopez, is playing qualies in Queens, and just won his match over Bradley Klahn. He just can't give it up.

Feli has a perfect service motion and nasty left handed serve that he follows to the net. He can play like this into his early 40s.
