It looks like Djokovic is dealing some kind of illness. It will be interesting on how long it will affect his condition and fitness.

Ok..lol..this young man is the bizness. He is what the tour needs. Alcaraz is going to be well liked if he remains the same.He did it! Won both sets with the break of the PCB serve, too. @tossip: I just got a look at the hair. He doesn't have a bald spot! He has a grey spot. it's not even centered. He actually has similar dense hair to Djokovic I would say.

She won't respond to Carlitos until Rafael Nadal tells her to respond.Loved this quote from Carlos Alcaraz,
" Swiatek is the reason why I play topspin. She is a big inspiration for me".....( I am waiting for Iga to respond
Re-watching the Serbia Open final, Djokovic definitely felt something or sick/tired because when he won the 2nd set, he had a discomfort look on his face like he was sick or something. The man who won't vaccinate against covid is pretty keen to put it out there that it couldn't possibly be about having had covid. Hmmm.

Something to keep an eye on during the Clay season. Let’s see if this illness will affect his conditioning going forward
Sometimes I agree with you then your post turn South because of your hatred for Nadal. Can you explain "really set himself up over Federer" ...?I saw him doubled over just before the TB! I was hoping he was just "gassed" from playing 3 sets all the way thru the tournament! He got his work in that's for sure! Maybe this unfortunate time taken off will benefit his run to a 3rd FO Championship and really set himself up over Federer! At least he defeated Rafa a couple times in Paris!

@MargaretMcAleer made a good point earlier that starting back on clay is physically rough, after a lay-off. We have no way of knowing if he really had some illness, or is just unfit, but she also makes the good point that going to Madrid, at altitude, is not going to be great for Novak, given that breathing issues have always plagued him, anyway. He is definitely got some way to go on his fitness, particularly for Bo5.Re-watching the Serbia Open final, Djokovic definitely felt something or sick/tired because when he won the 2nd set, he had a discomfort look on his face like he was sick or something.

You're the one setting up the line in the sand over Federer, here. And let's face it, you're as big a "hater" out there as anyone. You hate Nadal, you hate Murray, you hate that the powers-that-be that love Roger. You think everyone hates on Novak, even when he deserves some chucks on the chin or worse. You and your exasperated icons might do well with looking in the mirror. The hate is real! About Federer who Tennis Intelligentsia think tennis begins & ends w/ him along w/ Nadal, it's all in the statement above! Roger couldn't get past Rafa in Paris while Novak won twice over him in Roland Garros! What's so complicated? Roger is still on a pedestal even though surpassed by 2 players! The record has to be extraordinary to overcome the biases of the Fedal sycophants out there!
I would think his best best this spring/summer isn’t the French Open but Wimbledon.I saw him doubled over just before the TB! This looks increasingly more likely as he struggles to be fit on clay. Now, let's see if they actually play Wimbledon.I would think his best best this spring/summer isn’t the French Open but Wimbledon.
Hey, I thought you had me on "ignore". LOL.This article is what I'm talking about! Adriano Panatta is even mouthing off about Novak! Loves Fedal and can't stand Djokovic! What a jerk!

"..... Panatta harshly criticized Djokovic and current tennis: "Novak Djokovic? I have nothing personal against him, but I don't like him.
In the last two years he hasn't got one right, I am referring in particular to his statements. I don't like today's tennis, I would say that it bores me. I only follow him for Italian tennis players, let's say for patriotism."
He also praised Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal: "Roger is and will always be tennis. Nadal? I enjoy watching his matches and above all I admire him from a human point of view."....."
Just imagine if they don’t play Wimbledon, there’s a possibility that Djokovic will only play 1 slam in 2022, wild! This looks increasingly more likely as he struggles to be fit on clay. Now, let's see if they actually play Wimbledon.
