They're like the last wave of NG'rs that can't handle the pressure like The Big 3! Consistency just isn't something they possess! Unbelievably both lost early in their respective tournaments! Ruud went out to Munar in Japan and Alcaraz dropped his 1st Rd. match to Goffin in Astana! :astonished-face: :fearful-face:
That is why I don't expect Alcaraz to start his dominance next year. For sure he will be very hard to beat when he plays his best, but when his level drops he will be anybody's prey.

I feel like Djokovic is probably not only trying to make sure his ranking maintains in the Top 10, but I am sure he is trying to stay sharp to scalp those that everyone is trying to name Big 3 replacements. I am sure he would love to send Alcaraz packing in straights to say not so fast at the ATP Finals no less Im sure.

Look, I don’t expect them to win everything, but I would think a QF appearance wouldn’t be a stretch.

Ruud and Alcaraz out. :lol6: I predict Garin will take out Pushovic too.

GOATdal if not unlucky with his injuries would currently be no.1 with around 3,000 points lead.

Makes you think how impressive Novak's season 2015 w/ a rec. 16,950 ATP pts. winning 3 majors, 6 Masters (in final of 2 others played)! Those day are maybe gone b/c of being spoiled by sustained excellence of Fedalovic! I need to chk., see if Novak has a chance to steal the #1 ranking! I was so hoping at least Ruud would win his event in Japan to put some distance in the ranking! I think Nadal got back to #2 w/o even playing!

Do you even spend one minute of your life without mentioning Pushovic? Nobody cares about him... Didn't you see how the crowd, the media and the players treated him as a second rate champion compared to Fedal at the Laver Cup? :face-with-hand-over-mouth: He might have comparable stats but he didn't make an impact like they did. He will always be ranked behind them in our sport and in the eyes of the world. :shushing-face::thinking-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face::yawningface::partying-face:

Dude. I told you and sis Moxie that guy was bipolar and needs his happy meds
Nick has talked about his struggles, including with substance abuse and self-harm. I think it's cavalier of you to keep playing his doctor and therapist here. You don't know that his issue is being bipolar. You certainly are in no position to diagnose him or to prescribe medication for him. It's a serious thing, and I don't think you should take it lightly, or fling the term "bipolar" around like it is a blanket synonym for mental health issues. Whether you intend it or not, it sounds like you're making fun of it.

@Kieran: It may be that he's not innocent of the charge, and his state of mental health is his only defense. I guess we'll see how this plays out, because a certain amount of it will be public.

Not a chance this year. He's 15th in the YE race, 4240 points behind Alcaraz. And 2420 behind him in the rolling rankings, and I can't believe Alcaraz has much to defend, even if there were time to make up all of those points. I didn't even look up what Novak is defending.

From here on out, Novak's defending Paris over Medvedev last year! He served/volley'd his way to a 3 set victory over his nemesis Danill! :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Let's go Garin, you can do it. :flexed-biceps: You are better looking, have better hair and are a better human than Djokovic. I hope you win.

I knew you were going to get pissy about that comment. But you ARE tone deaf to Kyrgios's issues. I would appreciate it if you would stop calling him "bipolar," because you don't know that he is, or endlessly commenting that he needs to get back on his "meds." You don't know what his condition is about. I'm sorry to sound like a prig. I think we can all complain, or not, about Kyrgios's behavior, but his mental health issues are not knowable to us.

A huge amount of it, I’d say. On a tangent, but isn’t it unusual that a person accused of abuse can have the case against them dismissed because of “mental health?” I think that’s certainly a defence that’s wide open to abuse, and could add further problems for real victims, who discover this is tactic is being used by the perp.

As for Nick, he has often spoke about his issues, and he maybe innocent of the charges and his request might be on the level. But I don’t think the case should be “dismissed”, surely a delay of some sort is sufficient? It’s really a strange one, far as I’m concerned…

It is certainly an interesting way to argue for a case to be dismissed. Nick could be innocent or he may not be, but that type of argument will always leave doubt as far as innocence in a matter. I would think that mental health issues would be obvious if there is an abusive situation, so having it as a possible out in abuse allegations as grounds for dismissal seems odd.
