Rafanoy,

You said you thought Alcaraz serve was better than Sinner's though Gil Gros does not agree with you, I have to agree with Gil, Sinners' game against Alcaraz was the best match he played, so far this year ,at Wimbledon, a surface Sinner has not done well on, I dont know if you watched it, if you can watch it I suggest you do.Agree with Sinner's running fhand as well, it has been outstanding.
Darren Cahill has said Sinner, needs to work on his serve, also his transition game to the net more, which I have already stated, he needs to get more physical strength, he can win GS slams, in the coming years, as he is a hard worker and has a strong work ethic.
The difference between Alcaraz’s and Sinner’s serve is that Alcaraz relies more on his angles, speed and power when it comes to his own serve. Therefore, Alcaraz will more than likely missed his spots on serve. Meanwhile, Sinner relies on his accuracy and spots on his own serves. The problem is Sinner is not accurate enough to just focus on spot serving. Sinner should not serve less than 65% on Clay (or any court at all) when you are trying to be a great spot server. It defeats the purpose of being a spot server. If you are gonna serve low percentage 1st serves, then might as well go big in the 1st serve, but Sinner doesn’t do that. He has become a better clutch server in the past couple of weeks, but he still need to improve his 1st serve%

It is why I think Alcaraz has a slightly better serve than Sinner because Alcaraz can go either big or off-speed with a much higher accuracy when Alcaraz need it the most. And that will help Alcaraz in the future especially on HCs.

Sinner has the potential to be a better server, but I want to see him bulk up with muscle first , so he can generate more power/speed on his serve and not just rely on spot serving all the time.

Alcaraz at present is more of a clutch server, though his serve at times does go off, that is not a negative, it is a fact
Jannik's serve can be improved of course, we have both said that, also he does need to go into the gym for strength training and to build muscle,as Darren Cahill said after his match at Umag., though he was more impressed with Jannik at Wimbledon, with his win against Alcaraz and taking 2 sets off Novak at Wimbledon., which he felt, bolds well for the future.

Not to come in and ruin a great discussion, but on a lighter note Benoît PAIRE won his first round match in DC last night! Who would have thought he would not have tanked again? Now out of the top 100, I guess he realizes he needs to try or else it is back to the Challenger tournaments for him. He has some points to defend so maybe he just might TRY for a change. Good morning everyone, just wanted to brighten everyone's day with a little bit of fluff news about everyone's favorite head case, Benoit Paire. Love that touch he has at the net, and that backhand. The forehand, not so much.......

Sorry, I've been away for a few days. Anybody know why Meddie, FAA and Nakatomi are playing at a 250 in Mexico vs. the 500 in D.C.?

I've been swamped under work, too. Interesting question.

Nick had said before Wimbledon he would not be playing the Laver Cup this year, his mother is very ill and is waiting for a kidney transplant
So before you have a go at Nick know your facts, also a reason his mother could not travel to Wimbledon to watch Nick in the final

Nick follows his own rainbow. But for those who are keeping up, (and I am not,) it seems like: Team Europe has: Nadal, Djokovic, Federer confirmed, and Team World, has: Jack Sock? Coach Johnny Mac must be saying, "You CANNOT BE SERIOUS?!"

Sorry, I didn't know this. I made a joke, though not at Nick's expense, but I'm sorry to know his mother is so ill.

I posted at the same time. My joke on Johnny Mac was not that "you cannot be serious" about Nick not playing, but at the team he seems to be able to field. Who IS Team World fielding, btw?

They recently got Jack Sock on board, there are 2 places to fill, I have to look up the others, I know FAA and Diego are in the team.

Since Nadal win in Rome, Denis Shapovalov has lost 8 of his last 9 matches.Shapo lost today in 3 sets at Citi Open to JJ Wolf.
I still question why he let go of Jamie Delgado, especially since his season had been decent till that point.
As far as I am aware Delgado isnt coaching, he was coaching WTA player Emma Raducanu at Wimbledon, that partnership has since parted ways.

Didn't know that his Mom is very ill many prayers
Need
Now a little housekeeping, how the heck would someone know that fact if it's not publicly known..I live in the west coast of USA not Australia. I'm not privileged to get the latest updates on Aussie players..If the news in the US only said Family and pretty girlfriend, how the heck would I care to dig further..it's not that serious to me. I work 2 FTE in IT security, I CAN'T keep up with the latest daily or current events regarding Nick, Rafa or anyone else..You need to change your tone about knowing the FACT when you are the first one who gets sensitive about the majority of what you posts. This is a tennis board that is a forum for competitive banter not Fox, CNN , BBC or any local news network where it's their job to know the fact's. You take this stuff way too serious. RELAX. You may be capable of making Lucifer leave Hades if he had you jumping down his throat about everything. Good Grief.
