The difference between Alcaraz’s and Sinner’s serve is that Alcaraz relies more on his angles, speed and power when it comes to his own serve. Therefore, Alcaraz will more than likely missed his spots on serve. Meanwhile, Sinner relies on his accuracy and spots on his own serves. The problem is Sinner is not accurate enough to just focus on spot serving. Sinner should not serve less than 65% on Clay (or any court at all) when you are trying to be a great spot server. It defeats the purpose of being a spot server. If you are gonna serve low percentage 1st serves, then might as well go big in the 1st serve, but Sinner doesn’t do that. He has become a better clutch server in the past couple of weeks, but he still need to improve his 1st serve%Rafanoy,
You said you thought Alcaraz serve was better than Sinner's though Gil Gros does not agree with you, I have to agree with Gil, Sinners' game against Alcaraz was the best match he played, so far this year ,at Wimbledon, a surface Sinner has not done well on, I dont know if you watched it, if you can watch it I suggest you do.Agree with Sinner's running fhand as well, it has been outstanding.
Darren Cahill has said Sinner, needs to work on his serve, also his transition game to the net more, which I have already stated, he needs to get more physical strength, he can win GS slams, in the coming years, as he is a hard worker and has a strong work ethic.
It is why I think Alcaraz has a slightly better serve than Sinner because Alcaraz can go either big or off-speed with a much higher accuracy when Alcaraz need it the most. And that will help Alcaraz in the future especially on HCs.
Sinner has the potential to be a better server, but I want to see him bulk up with muscle first , so he can generate more power/speed on his serve and not just rely on spot serving all the time.
