Nick did say he would try to play doubles with Thanasi...personally speaking I dont think that is a wise decision
That tells me he just doesn't want to play in the HotLanta.. it's a tournament that is put near Centennial Park where there's no trees or anything earthly scenery. It's not SW19 jajaja

Nick K is used to playing in the heat, remember he lives in Aussie, where the heat and high humidity soars in Summer:) also he has just come from Barbados where he owns a house.
BTW Nick and Thanasi are still on the schedule to play doubles tonight in Atlanta

One of my critics to Sinner: I understand that He is trying to be a spot server, but his 1st serve % is too low for that to work. If he’s serving that low of a percentage, might as well go for big 1st serves rather than going for spot serves.

I still dont know why is he is not playing Citi, I hope he can take a WC
With regards to the serve, hopefully Darren Cahill can help in that area.BTW Munar on clay is a tough customer, glad Jannik is through in straight sets

First time I heard of a player pulled out of singles before to get to play their first match but stays to play doubles but Nick as El Dude stated is an enigma

Nick Kyrgios common assault charge has been postponed by 3 weeks., in Canberra. The case will now be heard on August 23rd. Kyrgios is not required to attend the court session if he is legally represented. ( Nick has received a wild card to play Cinncinati tournament, before the USO).

Montreal update:,
OUT: Zverev
In: Ruusuvori
Looks like Zverev will try his best to play the US Open. It probably means he will skip Cincy which means that if Nadal reaches the QF round of Canada, he will be world number 2 right after Cincy. Now, this is assuming Alcaraz doesn’t win either one of the M1000 tournaments plus another SF appearance.

Theres a legendary tennis story involving the great Helen Wills Moody from the 20's & ‘30s and her rival Helen Jacobs.. I'm familiar especially because both Helens hail from the Bay area here in Calif. Anyways Helen Wills would go years without losing set, or so it seemed. On this one occasion her rival Helen Jacobs finally got her number and was leading in their match 3-0 in the 3rd set in the finals of the US champs at Forest Hills. At that juncture, Helen Wills Moody went up to the chair and defaulted saying her back was hurting her and so couldn't play on. I believe later that day she opted to play a doubles match because she didn't want to let down her partner.

Needless to say she got skewered by the press and tennis fans.
