Some ridiculous points by Cerundolo against Rublev as well. Good chance he wins his second tournament in 2 weeks.

On a side note I can't stand Rublev's BWEH and Alcaraz is now making the same bloody grunt as Rublev. Awful. Both great to watch but makes me want to watch muted.

It now confirmed that Novak Djokovic will join Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Amdy Murray for Team Europe at the Laver Cup 23-25 September at the O2 Arena in London. ( Novak hinted during Wimbledon that he may join and would issue a statement after Wimbledon finished).

Hair dude had no answers. That's 2 consecutive weeks he was bounced out by a young upstart.

Wonder why Meddie isn't playing seeing he was barred from Wimby.

I didn't see any of it, but happy Cressy won. As to the above, saying that you're not interested in eating a lobster roll in New England is not only a crime against one of life's great pleasures, it was an unforced error in front of that crowd. What is it with men's players these days?? Are they TRYING to be disliked?
In the case of Bublik, you never know what will come out of his mouth. The commentator was trying to be nice, and this "lobster roll" comment came earlier in the week. What's funny is that he also told someone in the crowd to "shut the hell up". I believe they. were talking on their cell phone. Bublik has no shame, I think that is why people enjoy him, you never know what might happen next!

Oh nos! Thiem vs. Berrettini. I hate when favorites collide.
Well think of it this way. Berrettini had to pull out of Wimbledon so now he is healthy. With Thiem he has been struggling since his comeback, so for him to advance this far is a good thing. It is tough when two of your favorite players face each other, I understand the frustration.

I think the Berrettini match will be more telling of where Thiem is at in his game as far as maybe seeing him participate in some 500s and above. I’d like to see him back in the Top 20-30 at least by the end of the year going into 2023. He could do that with some good summer and fall results. He doesn’t have any points to defend, so there is that.

Novak Djokovic talking about some of his reasons for playing Laver Cup this year,

" To be joining the likes of Roger, Rafa and Andy who are also 3 of my all time biggest rivals is going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport.I agree its going to be iconic and special".

I’m not really interested in Laver Cup. They really should do something about the format to make it more interesting than it is.

An impressive stat so far this season for Alcaraz who improves to 10--0 in ATP Tour quarter finals.( Alcaraz routed Khachanov 60 62 in his match earlier in Hamburg).

Borna Coric retires in his match against Molcan in the early in the 2nd set with a groin injury, I cannot believe the bad luck with injury this young man is having since returning to the tour after having shoulder surgery.
It was a tight first set.
Molcan wins by walkover 76 (7) 2-0.

Just watched highlights. Carlito was brutal today, it looked like he played his worst enemy. I feel a bit sorry for silent K.

Yeah, Coric can't catch a break with injuries, but on a positive note, he is winning matches lately and groin injury should not be anything serious and he will probably be ready for Umag next week I hope.
