Really happy to see Coric pull off a win, I know coming back from that injury has been tough but he managed to stick it out and defeat Djere today after losing the first set.
My TV was mostly showing Alcaraz, but they were on parallel paths today. Dropped the first, won the 2nd, and survived the 3rd in a TB. Thiem finished just a few minutes earlier. Gaston is a good player. Nicola Kuhn, who was playing Alcaraz, played an amazing first set, and generally very well, despite being ranked around 250. He's 22, btw.I am glad Thiem managed to sneak that win, but man does he have to stop with these slow starts.
Honestly it was a miracle he won. Gaston was last year's finalist so it was a bit nuts the bookies having Thiem as favourite even though his odds were quite short. A good win though to beat the previous year's finalist.I am glad Thiem managed to sneak that win, but man does he have to stop with these slow starts.
Dominic's serve saved him in the t/break, still small steps he is using his PR at present.Honestly it was a miracle he won. I stuck €2 live in play for fun at 11/1 on Kuhn and Gaston and it was looking good till the last minute. Was a fun trip at leastDominic's serve saved him in the t/break, still small steps he is using his PR at present.
Fog always doing the show, what pain, go home and enjoy with your family if the can stand you!
Canada has a vacuous boy prince as premier, an intellectual speck of dust, so it’s not surprising they ended up with a vaccine travel mandate. Typical of the man, protesters to his covid policies were called racist - natch - and had their bank accounts frozen, by this liberal beacon of shining pus. Now they’re still in the slow lane, among the nations that still require a vaccine for entry.
None of this is surprising, and Canada, like the States, won’t change this mandate this year. You know, I actually want Novak to play the North American summer because I always fancy Rafa against him there, and there’s more glory in beating a fellow Big 3 anyway. I don’t think it’s unfair that he’s excluded though - it would only be unfair if he was being singled out by this policy, and he isn’t…
I dunno if it’s hypocritical, but it is fairly impractical. However, it’s a common policy, not exclusive to America. He’s not American, so of course non-Americans get treated differently when it comes to getting into America. They’re not from there. But he is singled out; "in a way!" If you're American, you can re-enter the United States unvax'd & go about your business! That's hypocritical!
I have an Australian friend who has a business in Canada,he was in Sydney visiting family, because he wasnt a Candian citizen he was banned from entering Canada due to their COVID rules.BTW he is double vaccinatedI dunno if it’s hypocritical, but it is fairly impractical. He’s not being singled out, with regards to not being from America, it affected me too recently, and many others, I’m sure..
