What in the hell is Serena’s problem? It seems lately anytime she breaks an opponent she gives the break right back.

This retirement is all the more reason why she has to seize the opportunities when they're presented, like RG this year or 2 years ago. Those draws opened up from the Gods and she didn't walk through it. :face-with-symbols-on-mouth:

Well, that's depressing about Serena going out injured, too.

Grass is for Bloody Cows.....a mens match just suspended due to the slippery grass.
Quite frankly I have never seen soo many players slip and slide on grass, and fall over like Wimbledon this year.I have never been a fan of grass and now I can say I Hate It.

Remember the days of when Serena's legs were so flexible that she could do the splits while hitting a stroke.. Serena needs to commit to getting her body in that type of flexibility and hopefully she can prolong her career without this types of injuries which can be very nagging..just my two cents worth

The question becomes, how long does she want to put in the hard work to stay in shape to compete at a high level. Is she willing to do it for another year? She will be 40 in 3 months.

I think her big issue is match play. She’s coming to these slams having played so little, that her body isn’t match fit, so these issues are creeping up more. It’s very easy to injure yourself when you are only essentially putting it through tests by playing little else other than slams.

It's the ONLY way she is going to win .put the baby down and leave her with daddy long hair.. hire a yoga instructor and start hitting with younger girls who are human backboards like Sakkari or Su Wei..her power Agame is still but there but not the B game where she needs to problem solve very quickly.

I take posters points with Serena should play more tournaments, also I felt she should have played a 'warm up' grass match prior to Wimbledon.
The grass is slippery that is why she injured herself,Roger and Andy said the same thing, especially when the roof is closed
Serena's opponent Aliaksandra also said she was felt unsafe on the grass in her match
Why cant players wear a different type of sole on their shoe, which they used to allow at Wimbledon many years ago, that would grasp the underfoot better and we would not see the players, slip.slide and fall over.,like Serena and Mannarino have to retire in their matches due to injury.
